Stopped to visit and found it interesting though small. It is free but they do ask for donations. Allowed my grandson to experience his first museum in Nova Scotia.

While small, this museum is crammed with interesting artifacts and history, in an historical building, The smallish rooms constrain the exhibit spaces and there is nothing "high tech." That said, we thoroughly enjoyed the museum, taking a bit over an hour to see it all, and had great conversation with the knowledgeable docents.

Downstairs is like walking back in time 100 or more years ago---rooms and manicans were set and dressed for the day upstairs my family and I were able to dig back in time for our lineage that came from Digby and beyond with the masterful guidance and help of the assistants at the museum. We had already quite a bit... More
