We were here on a beautiful day in August. It was free to get in for the Canada 150 celebrations. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed spending a couple of hours exploring.

The Fort Anne site does a wonderful job of interpreting decades of European contest for dominance in North America. The site does a good yet understated provision of facts in a low key way allowing the history and location to inform without overwhelming. Great stop!

This fort is well worth the stop to tour the museum and take a walk on the grass to explore the ramparts. Sit and enjoy the scenic views.

Well-maintained building and grounds provide a feel for life long ago. Climb the earthen barriers and see the statues and canons.

There are some wonderful exhibits at this National historic site. The layout of the fort area is wonderful as you can explore and really get a feel for the time period. It is in a beautiful setting along the river/bay.

Just wish there was more seating within the fort for older or disabled people. The history was well displayed with artifacts.

If you only want to walk on the site, with a leash, I think you can. But if you want a guide you better with no dog.
