Do not believe the brochure that promises lots of seals and sea birds. We saw fish pens. The points of interest they mentioned were of no interest, except the lighthouse. I recommend skipping this boat tour.

Took the 2 pm afternoon tour which returns shortly after 5. Cost is $35. Nice to be on the water. Comfortable boat. No real high point to see on this tour but a variety of physical human and historical features were pointed out and explained. Boat crew was very approachable and friendly.

If you want to see some friends you've never met, go on this boat. The captain and first mate will make sure you get your money's worth (and it is a bargain!). The history, beauty and camaraderie make this the best deal. If you can go when there's music and some light refreshments, even better!

Ken and Sherri do a great job of being very helpful and hospitable hosts on their boat. They make it both a fun and enjoyable cruise and if you don't know anything about Shelburne before hand you come away knowing so much more, you'll even get to know and seen a bot more about lobsters and catching them. Warmly recommend... More

Captain Ken and First Mate Sherri have lots of experience. They do three tours a day most days. Have lived around Shelburne most of their lives and know it well. They fill you in on everything from the History to what's happening in the area to the name of wildlife that you see. They even pull a lobster trap and... More

I did some research before going to Shelburne and seen that the Harbour Boat Tours was recommended by other travellers. I am glad that we decided to do this, it really was the highlight of our trip. The couple who run the business were very pleasant and the boat was a great size with lots of room. They have three... More

11 of us went on a three hour tour. The hosts Captain Ken and First Mate Sherry gave us a great history lesson on the harbour and area, we saw live lobsters, two lighthouses and all in all had a great time. Would absolutely recommend this tour as a must do for anyone visiting Shelburne, Nova Scotia.

On July 24th a group of 11 took the 3 hour tour on the Brown Eye Girl. The majority live in Shelburne and have done the tour several times and we never get tired of it. The three out of province guests were in awe of the scenery, the stories shared by First Mate Sherry and the the comfort of... More

We went on the afternoon tour with our extended family. We could not have had a more pleasant afternoon. Ken and Sherri were wonderful hosts. Sherri gave us lots of information about the harbour and the Shelburne area - some of which was new to lifetime residents! We saw a whale and porpoises on our tour. We are already planning... More
