Walking the trail

When my daughter and I was walking the trail we had noticed that one of the wooden walk way needs replaced. It felt like being on a teeter tater.

Beautiful trail that lasts between 1.30 hours and 2 hours. The trail is easy and the views are awesome. You can finish or start near the Leg and the museum.

A lot of local using the trail and it is very accessible from downtown area,I enjoy my walk and even crossing the lake. A good exercise in winter.

We ran twice around the lake. On one side there is a prober trail on the other side it gets a bit more difficult. You walk mostly over big rocks, stairs and bridges. But that makes it really nice and the views are stunning. A must-do.

My wife and I walked this trail from the hospital to the Heritage Centre and Visitors centre. Great views across the water to rock islands, pines and white birch trees.

We used the trail to get to the shopping centre at the other side of the lake but it turned out the trail was the highlight. Quite an energetic walk as there are lots of rocks to cross and its quite a way around but worth the effort. Met lots of locals exercising themselves and dogs so there was much... More

Came out of the legislature, asked where the trailhead was and how long to do the trail - he said about 20 minutes. It was closer to 2 hours in the knee deep snow and wind. The first half coming from the leg. was up and down, but the second half paved and well groomed. Beautiful in winter, likely the... More

Great addition to town, with Easy access from the info centre and the museum. Proper foot wear as most of it is done across amazing looking rocks. Could be slippery. We saw birds, water fowl, and loved the addition of interpretive signs .

A 9 kl hike around the latke and never very far from town. It is an easy trail, but some climbing over rough terrain is neccassary. Very pleasant but wear bug spray

If you are in town staying at the Super 8 area around old airport road and want to talk downtown this is a nice walk around the lake and is more scenic and faster than taking the road.
