We talked with a chap from the university and he was helpful, then did the trail thru the gardens and around the pond. The trail was well marked and fairly easy to do. Worth while.

Most exciting walk through in reaching this place and most interesting botanical displays. The garden is housed with hundreds of species.

Really pleasant 1/2 day out. The garden is divided into a number of themes/types, all beautiful and interesting. There's a cafe and gift shop too.

What a wonderful way to spend a morning out at the botanical gardens. Gardens are beautifully laid out-lots of different plants to see. There are a few trails you can hike around the gardens. There are a few information boards to read along the trails....More

Large garden set in a boreal forest along a lake. In addition to a fine collection of plants, there is a lovely walk through woods and a nice little cafe.

Nice place for a morning walk. Everything was in bloom when we were there. I especially liked all the different coloured rhodendrons. We are not gardeners, but for those that are, we saw lots of ways to make a creative yard.

A must see place as far as we were concerned. So well laid out with nice display of the botanical names and the history of various plant origins. As we said a must visit spot.

The botanical gardens are small, but the trails around the Oxen Pond are super. One can choose easy level or steep and more challenging trails. The gardens have a small restaurant with limited selection of food, but good quality and service.

I came here at the end of June and it was cold and rainy so perhaps that is why there were really no flowers in bloom. As a pleasant walking trail through the woods it is fine and seems to be a popular activity for...More
