We found ourselves at this sight while exploring the city, you get a really good view of the harbour from here. Unfortunately be didn't quite make it to the top as it was so windy and getting late we needed to make our way back...More

Great day on the hill. A little cool and windy, but it is Nov. lots of people around. Great views of the sea, harbour and city. Walking not too bad, wear comfortable shoes.

The views are great. We went at sunset. But in the winter months they shut a lot of things down including the top floor of the building. Worth a visit but not more than 30 minutes or so unless you stay for the sunset.

Breathtaking view of the vast expanse of the Atlantic ocean -- sometimes dotted with icebergs and frolicking whales -- extends a welcome to every visitor to St. John's, Newfoundland. Marconi sent the first trans-atlantic wireless signal from this point. Often, this place is windy, but...More

We enjoyed this walk at sunrise. It was spectacular. I am sure it would be spectacular any time of the day too. Careful to wear proper footwear as it is a rugged walk. Well worth the view and exercise :) PS. Reward yourself with a...More

This place is amazing. If you can walk, you can walk from any hotel downtown in about 20 minutes. The first time we went up was in a taxi and the view at the top is amazing. We walked down back to our hotel, but...More

We read about this sight on Trip Advisor and saw it on our way into the harbor on our cruise ship. It is walkable from the harbor or you could take a cab for $10 and there is a trolly that goes there. We took...More

This was my favourite spot during a recent trip to Newfoundland. This is a beautiful National Historic Site with great hiking trails and the most beautiful views of St. John's, the Narrows, and the ocean. I highly recommend that you hike the trail that connects...More

We hiked up the road and went back down by the stairs/path route which was the way recommended to us. It was a moderate hike up but I understand why it was recommended to do it that way. Much easier to hike up a road...More

As far as I'm concerned, Signal Hill is a must for the view. The Rooms was good, but exhausting to see it all and if you're not into museums, don't go if you only have 4 days. We took an O'Brien's Bay Bulls boat tour and... More

The tattoo is only on certain days and times. It wasn't on when I was visiting but I would look on their website. I would say no seating - it's in a field. I doubt there are reservations.
