One of the most photographed attractions in New Brunswick, i.e. Shediac’s Giant Lobster, is ageing gracefully, even very gracefully, and we plan to celebrate its 25th anniversary in style this year (2015). This work of art measuring 11 metres long, 5 metres in width, 5 metres high and weighing nearly 90 tons saw the light of day thanks to an initiative launched by the Shediac Rotary Club. The Town and the Rotary Club will therefore work together to mark the quarter century of existence of this work of art sculpted by the artist Winston Bronnum. For more information on the festivities marking the 25th anniversary, please visit the Town of Shediac’s website.

This was our second time visiting Shediac and the giant lobster. This time just stopped in for a photo, bathroom break and to pick up cold lobster from the market across the bridge from here (Homards) on our way from PEI to Hopewell Rocks. My...More

You can't visit Shediac without climbing the giant lobster (or at least taking a photo in front of it!) Cute souvenir shops nearby and good for a 1/2 hour walk about (including the lobster visit!). Check it off your bucket list :)

Well, if you miss this landmark its time to go home. Good idea to lure in tourists to the town and gift shops. Maybe a little more parking would help.

Giant lobster to get some pictures with! Busy but a cute little spot to grab some family photos. There is also a couple cute shops and some nice views and information about the town of Shediac.

Maybe a little tacky, but worth the detour. Huge lobster (biggest in the world?), makes good souvenir pictures. #1 attraction, so plan to spend 10 minutes to go see it.

Nice little tourist trap, only giving 3 stars as the parking lot would not allow overnight parking. The staff at the vistors center were amazing.

If you look on a Google map, there is a Shediac tourist information center right close by the Giant Lobster Park, and I think they could help you find the name you want for the Gift shop. Hope that helps.
