Interesting array of vendors from produce and meat, to specialty food and artisans, to places to get a quick bite to eat for lunch. Worthwhile visiting. It does not require hours as it is not huge, but it's a decent size.

Another must do in Saint John. Great place to grab lunch or some food for your trailer or motor home. Canada's oldest market and best!

Rob thank you, the quality and prices of our Market just can't be beat and it's very central. Thank you for your review.

Definitely worth at least a walk through if you are in Saint John! I recommend the maple products (and dulse, if you like dulse)- and highly recommend the seafood place (North Seafood?)

We went to St. John City Market as part of a shore excursion on a cruise. It was the highlight of the excursion, and we did not have enough time there. I saw a cape at Teresa's Capes booth and did not buy it, but...More

I am told there used to be many markets just like this one. This is worthy of your time. I have to disagree with many recent contributors here. Some super good products and vendors working hard to empty your pockets on many wonderful items of...More

It says it opens at 730 am on a weekday - super misleading. We got there at 830 am on a Monday and I mean the doors were open, but the vendors were not ready to go. Many weren't even there. We were hoping to...More

Though the market did not close until 6 pm and I was there at 5:30, several vendors were covering their wares or closing shop and I missed out on buying a good looking piece of date square as the vendor was gone when I came...More

Everyone raved that this is a "must do" when in St John....not sure why unless you want some groceries. Vendors have a lot of stuff, mostly junk. I was expecting locally made crafts, art, etc. but much of it appears to be imported. It took...More

Take the time to browse . Talk to the vendors and especially the artists . You will find out some interesting information and maybe even pick up a deal or two.

Unfortunately we do not open on Sunday's. Most of our vendor's are family run businesses and Sunday is the only day they have off. I hope you can make it in another day. :)

I think that would be a very interesting fit for the market. I would like to meet to discuss further but yes I think that would be a nice addition to the market.
