Decent meal, average performance, expensive prices
May 2019 • Couples
We were visiting in Moncton for a conference, and decided to attend this on a Friday night with another couple that we know. The food was OK, but the performance was amateurish at best. We picked up the tab for everyone and were somewhat shocked at the price we paid for what we received. Perhaps it was just an off night for them, but was certainly hoping for more.

So this place is one of my favourites in town. It’s about 4 hours from start to finish. The food is ok but the show is usually so funny my cheeks hurt from laughing ! Great time all the time !!

The actors are the servers you get a choice between two meals neither of which is worth having not much of a place to spend your time or money

Average show with above average price.

We have gone to McSweeneys a few times over the last several years. They put on an average entertaining show, in a run down old building that used to be a 1970's club. The group does a good job with what they have to work with. The show last night was a kind of Beatles music theme. The music was OK and the players had very good chemistry between themselves.

The food was very good, although small portions. The beef brisket was super tasting and very tender. Those who had the salmon said it was awesome also. My two complaints are the seating and the lack of choices of beer. They squished people into long tables stuck together in rows, with the backs of the chairs almost touching each other when people were seated. Very cramped. There was plenty more tables and room available but they chose to jam everyone as close to the stage as possible. You have no choice of where you want to sit.

And they only carry 4 types of beer from a single brewer. Terrible selection, so I didn't drink any. Lost sales. Overall this for me is not really a good night out. I like lots of room to sit, eat and be able to move about. On the other hand, my wife loves this type of entertainment. Each to his own I guess. With some improvements in seating, sound & stage, and liquor selection, it could be an awesome place to go for a night out.

The show is incredible!

Lost sea pub- is the show on right now! It is seriously so funny! The singing and interaction is incredible! Such talented people! Interacted with the guests and stayed in character the whole time! Can't say enough about the show! The food however was just ok- small portions, left hungry. It wasn't anything to rave about. But the show was incredible and made up for it ten fold!

Always a hit !!
Apr. 2015
We absolutely love this place!!! The actors are amazing, Stella the bartender is the best most friendly person I have met. The food is hit or miss but usually pretty decent! We love going back as much as we can but it is kind of pricey. However that being said, where else can get get an appetizer, main entree and dessert, plus ... an amazing show on top of it !! Keep up the great work guys !!

"Take It Easy" is the current production at McSweeney's Company Dinner Theatre, through 30th Aug 2015
Jul. 2015 • Couples
Well, I'm writing this after a sleepless night, as Mr Floyd seems to have crept into the dark recesses of my mind! Perhaps because His arch enemy, Wilson, seems to be central to who I am (Brian Wilson Hurlburt).

But more likely because having visited McSweeney's Dinner Theatre last night I was to wound up to sleep! There was a certain spark that made the whole thing a gas!

Wasn't the food though! As whether you had the Trout, BBQ Chicken, or the Beef Brisket, as we did, it was excellent.

Yet, there was something about the Show that whether you were a man, or a woman, it just had you dreaming of Springsteen as He striped away layer after layer trying to make us see more clearly.

Of course, we could have asked Rheanna or Wanda, but Rheanna was a real witch, and for a man to ask Wanda anything seemed to flirt with danger!

All evening long it was like being out on a rail, as the laughter continued, and the characters brought the stage to life. Especially Mr. Floyd.

Not to mention Stella and the important role she plays!

"Take It Easy" is the current production at McSweeney's Company Dinner Theatre, through 30th Aug 2015, and the Characters mentioned above bring it to life in a most interesting way! It was, an incredible evening of entertainment and dinning, and the only thing that seemed to be missing from it all were the Fries!

Not what expected
Jun. 2014 • Friends
We were looking forward to a dinner theatre but this was not what we expected. You had to walk up a long flight of stairs and were corralled into a corridor until the doors opened. There were long rustic tables in a very boring room and uncomfortable seats. The food was mediocre at best and the play was a two man show....and not very good actors...we have seen high school student do better....very expensive for what it was....went once and will never go again.
