Moncton was settled by 1/2 a dozen main families. The Lutes being one of them. The museum has many interesting artifacts, but talk to the staff and get the story of Moncton, before there was a Moncton. Find out about the names of the mountains, of if Magnetic Hill would be an attraction without the Lutes.

Stopped at the Lutz Mountain Museum after we finished visiting with Magnetic Hill. This is a very over looked place and should be visited more as it is a little known gem. This museum was a great place to visit! Our tour guide was very knowledgable and enjoyable. I am related to the Lutz family-so it made it all the more interesting. Lot's of cool antiques to see and also a graveyard very close.

David, our young guide, captured our interest by telling us about Muriel Lutes, a woman way ahead of her time. She was born in 1909 and was instrumental in making Magnetic Hill the tourist attraction it is today. Lots of interesting artefacts in this converted church on the hill. A fascinating glimpse into Moncton and Canada's history. Definitely recommend.

Lots of older & interesting items. Great staff, know about the area. Small but well displayed. Interesting items in the basement.
