This nine-acre (3.6 hectare) park, which encompasses open green spaces and tree-lined walkways, is a national treasure owned and operated by Parks Canada. I went here on a recommendation from a local. Glad I did. It is like a flea market and history lesson of the city all rolled into one location. Took the elevator to the top of the building and took some nice photos of the city.

Sit and eat at one of 4 outdoor restaurants that overlook the Red and the Assiniboine rivers. Nice atmosphere if you like the outdoors within the city, walking along the river, or just people watching.

Great place for a walk, a bite to eat and a place to meet friends. If you're a skater bring you skates and enjoy the trail along the river and/or the skating trails.

With wonderful river walking paths, and skating paths, this was a beautiful place to visit on a sunny winters day.

I enjoyed the half day I was there with family. There are shops of all kinds in the one big bldg. You can have a great choice of gifts to take back home for family and friends. There are a number of attractions to check out a small museum in one bldg. a walk down by the river and I... More

Minutes from downtown Winnipeg is a hodgepodge of open plazas, busy shops, and human buzz. Buildings blend the old and new outside and in. Brick jostles with glass and steel, handmade knits with foodie fare, and an impressive collection of antiques beneath a shop bursting with the latest toys. Outside, buskers, riverside walks, and green space compete for your attention,... More

Allot has been done over the years to improve this area and this park is proof. I really like to visit the other places in this area such as the Forks market, children play-ground, cafes and just to walk around the river area. If you like to visit June-Aug consider bringing bug spray as sometimes the little pests can be... More

Visiting the Forks at night was amazing with all the Lights and music playing for people who love to skate. We went inside and had something to eat and tried their sample's of beer. Then we walk around and went shopping. A lot of interesting stores to visit. We had a wonderful time. This is one place to visit in... More
