What a wild experience... kayaking with whales!! It made me a little nervous kayaking with the Beluga Whales, as they would gently bump into your kayak, but was an amazing time. The guide was very nice and there was a little boat hanging around watching...More

We did two tours with Sea North - kayaking with the Belugas, and the Beluga Fort tour. Kayaking was amazing, what a wonderful way to get up close and personal with the belugas. There are so many of them, you can't help but have a...More

We took the snorkel option and weren't disappointed. We were worried about breaking our budget but every dollar was worth it. Luck or otherwise our guide took us to spot half a dozen playful polar bears and then head over to snorkel. We stayed out...More

I recently took the Churchill Estuary tour, which gives you two hours in a Zodiac in the Churchill River. It was an incredible outing, one of the best tours of any kind I've ever had. I would definitely go again. There were six people on...More

My husband and I visited Churchill, Canada to experience the annual migration of beluga whales into the Churchill River. We took several tours--Snorkeling, Estuary (Zodiac), Belugas/Fort, Sloop's Cove hike, and Kayaking--and I would recommend all of them to the highest degree! Being among those whales...More

I took three outings with Sea North---Belugas & the Prince of Wales Fort, the Churchill River estuary (on a zodiac), and kayaking. Different guides and assistants led each tour, so I got to meet at least five of their employees. All of them had fantastic...More

Took the tour to see the Beluga Whales and Fort of Prince of Wales. One stays at both sites for an hour each. The guide offers considerable information on the whales prior to the tour. The boat seats about 30 people and is jet propelled....More

Does it make a big difference if you go in the middle of August vs. the last week of August? Or is the experience just as good in all of August?

For snorkeling, I was told it's better to go earlier (like July). I was there in the end of August. There were still lots of belugas around, the fort tour & belugas were excellent, but the snorkeling was too cloudy.
I'm wondering why you took two kayak trips. Are they different trips or did you just enjoy the first so much you repeated the same trip? Thanks, Lisa
