The Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world....

The Whistler Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world. Since hosting the bobsleigh, skeleton and luge competitions during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Whistler Sliding Centre continues to challenge the sports’ most elite athletes with international competitions, recruiting camps, and ongoing youth programs. Visitors are invited to tour the state-of-the-art facility, or experience the action first-hand with passenger bobsleigh (winter and summer) and skeleton rides (winter only) down part of the 1,450 meter-long ice track.

Summer Bobsleigh runs daily from July 1 until September 4, 2016!

Throughout the summer season, Daily Tours are offered at 11:00am.

Athlete training on ice will start again in October 2016, public Bobsleigh and Skeleton programs will resume in December 2016.

Year-round, visitors can access the Whistler Sliding Centre's public areas for Sightseeing daily from 9am until 5pm. Site access is not permitted outside these hours.

Decided to go in the Bobsleigh experience with my fourteen year old son. We had a blast! Although the ride was short at just over 40s, we hit almost 125km/h and the g forces were awesome. The speed at which these things travel is Amazing and being on the fastest track in the world is pretty cool. I've done the... More

I did the bobsled experience today and it was AMAZING! Very friendly staff and great over all experience. They were welcoming and very helpful. I highly recommend this next time you're in whistler. It's great for you and it helps athletes to compete by keeping their costs down.

The Sliding Center staff were very helpful and informative. All of the proceeds from your ride go to support the Olympic Teams! The pre-ride information was scary, but once you are at the starting point, the pilots really calm you down. The ride itself was so unbelievable!!! I loved it!! I highly recommend doing this if you ever visit Whistler!!

We booked this last minute on the day and were so glad we decided to do the bobsleigh. The build up was great, they are so focused on safety, but make learning about your ride fun as well. Really impressed with the organisation and briefing. I was pretty nervous about the speed, but once we launched it was just fantastic,... More

Definitely a hike just to watch. Really nice to see once, especially if you have never seen an ice track before. This track is famous and infamous for being the fastest track used in the Olympic Games to date.

Now that was an adrenaline rush!!! Intense!!! From a safety standpoint the staff gave very clear instructions on what to expect and what to do while on the bobsled. Although the rear seat is the toughest, the G forces are real and impact you regardless of seat position. The staff explained the cost to maintain the track which substantiated the... More

My husband and adult son did the skeleton run here, and both found it to be an exhilarating adrenaline rush. The staff explain everything clearly and are thorough, and as long as you listen to them it is perfectly safe. Sliding doen the fastest track in the world flat on your sled at more than 90k's an hour is a... More

My husband and I got to experience the bobsled. Wow what a rush! It is definitely worth the money and a picture is included in the price. The orientation that involves the obvious risks can be scary but the staff really does have a way of making you feel comfortable. We opted to purchase the video and so happy we... More

Even though I have been to Whistler many times, I had never been to, or seen, the Whistler Sliding Center: it is located near Blackcomb village Parking Lot 7 and 8. Upon arrival, you sign a waiver and are asked to step on a scale and, based on height/weight, the pros create the "teams" (one professional driver and 3 paid... More

The staff at whistler sliding center are very friendly and add to your experience. I also enjoyed the bobsledding and felt the thrill of high speed force going down the track. However I emerged from the bobsled with a very bad headache which subsided after a half hour. My upper back and neck were very sore too for two days... More
