A victim of its own success. Lots of lifts and lots of variety but way too many people on the mountains at once. Go somewhere not as busy.

This is a great place to ski as there is so much terrain for each skill level. Even though they boast powder just remember it is on the West Coast so they never get powder like central BC. With that being said it's still a fun place to go.

Our first trip to Whistler was nearly 20 years ago when we taken by some friends. We has spent many years skiing in Europe and this was our first trip to North America. We caught the bug and have returned every year since then. Both our children learned to ski in Whistler and despite only skiing 2-3 weeks each year... More

So we decided to include 2 days up in Whistler into a road trip around BC and to be honest it was a bit of an out there idea. My other half isn't into the idea of skiing / boarding but I managed to convince as it would be a couple of days away from the hustle and bustle of... More

We lucked out this April with the late snowfalls. This area has height length and the infrastructure to match.

Two mountains. Endless runs of all types including bowls and alpine challenges. Skip the lowest runs and head to the huge middle and top third of the hills. The Peak 2 Peak gondola is useful for switching mountains midday. Plenty of lifts & gondolas to allow skipping long waits in line even on weekends and peak times. The Village has... More

I skied four days in early April. The snow quality was excellent at the top but at the bottom it got a little slushy in the afternoon. I merely took the gondola down at the end of the day. At 5000 vertical feet you can always find good snow. I had heard that there is some severe terrain. And there... More
