I found it very easily, I took the bus from downtown and got off at the first UVic stop. The alumni trail starts and goes into the mystic vale trail. It is so beautiful and peaceful! It is everything you'd want from a walk in...More

I have tried to find this trail often by myself and was finally given good instructions by a University of Victoria security guard. From Finnerty Gardens (beautiful) find the west campus gate and just before you get to Gordon Head Road the so called 'chip'...More

Mystic Vale abuts UVIC. You can check out the flora and wildlife or pass through while you walk the Alumni Trail. It's cool and shaded. There are no washrooms, so pack some water and use the washroom prior. It's not even, so wear some good...More

This woodland area is part of the University of Victoria. It is a great walk and a chance to get away from it all without having to go too far.

I love coming here. It's a little oasis, hidden within the city. The name says it all, go see for yourself.

Find a path that will take you down to the bottom of the ravine. The city sounds fade, the birds are singing in the trees and it lives up to its name. A wonderful walk in the midst of the city and if you go...More

I love Mystic Vale. It's green and scenic. I love walking or running it. There are also some stairs for running up and down. Mystic Vale is great for exercise and just enjoying nature.

Come into Mystic Vale from the doggy park, the Campus, or Haro Rd. It's a lovely walk, damp, dark, and very green. Don't bring your dog, though because the water here runs into Cadboro Bay and dog poop is already fouling the beach.

Many trails await you at the University but mystic Vale is the most secluded. The adjacent ravine is spectacular and leads up to a field and down toward a village outcropping of Oak bay. Saw a hummingbird in February once and a Great Horned Owl...More
