What a grand theatre. Great shows, good prices. Victoria is fortunate to have such a lovely theatre right downtown.

I had a good view from where I sat, St. Mikes was putting on a fantastic show, and there was a great art gallery upstairs. No problems! Just a good time at a comfortable theatre.

This theatre is an amalgam of modernist architecture outside, a spacious lobby with some nice touches like a glass strip running along the staircase which gives you a sense of floating. Inside the actual theatre, you time travel back to a very traditional theatre which...More

This is an oldish theatre in a great location downtown. Seating is not the best. Very cramped and upstairs balcony gives one a virtigo. Would be a nightmare to vacate in case of an emergency!

The Acoustics when you are up in the balcony or second level is less than to be desired. There were many instances where we missed complete sentences :(

We attended a very exceptional performance of Phantom of the Opera, produced by students and staff of St. Michael's University School, and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

I have heard countless comedy acts, concerts, and plays at McPherson. I have yet to sit anywhere in the theater where the sight line and acoustics are not great.

A great theatre...a bit of old world charm. Has a comfy feel to it...not too large. Very little parking on site, however there is a parking lot within 2 blocks (1st hour free). Transit service to the theatre is available.

Grand Pa like's live theater but we can't get him to go to the Royal any more because the bathrooms are such small cubby holes and usually have long line ups. . Are there more of them and bigger at the Mcpherson?

MacPherson Theatre is slightly larger than the RoyalTheater. The washrooms are a little better, but not by a big difference.
