Terrible. Never go back.

Terrible food, unhappy staff and the beer is like lager with flavouring in it. All around not a great experience.

A hidden gem - excellent food!
Oct. 2020
Went for lunch with a couple of fellow workers to this hidden away brew pub. Actually lots of people for a Wednesday mid-day. Ordered a chicken caesar wrap, and waffle fries. The wrap was one of the best I have ever had, and I've had a lot of wraps. A number of other food choices that also looked very good at adjoining tables (separated by clear plexiglass. Prices were good. Didn't have beer, but huge choices for beer lovers. Great lunch or snack spot!

Lots of beers options and nice spot to meet with friends

Excellent place for multiple beers and you can also create your own flights so that you can try on multiple options you like. They also have great food and the place is made for groups too in case you wanted to go there with a bunch of friends.

Great place with couples and group of friends!
Nov. 2019
Friday date night and ventured to East Vancouver Parallel 49 Brewing. We arrived at 7:20pm and it was really busy. We looked for seats before ordering and none available. We proceeded to order first. We ordered:

- spicy chicken with waffles fries - husband loved it. Ate it so fast. I went to wash my hands and when I returned he finished the burger.
- bacon cheeseburger - it was really tasty and good. The meat paddy was super juicy. It was a bit messy to eat for my liking.
- 2 cranberry radler beer - light and flavourful
- poutine - good tasting poutine
- carnival mix - paired nicely with the beer

The ambiance on a Friday night, high energy for sure. We ended up finding our seats when we finished ordering as a party was leaving. score!

Beer is served at pick up section (like Starbucks). If you ordered food they will give you a number paddle to find you once food is ready to be served.

Pretty cool to see their kitchen is in a food truck.

Great selection of beer if you like beer, you'd like it here. Food was tasty with good quality.

Great times at Parallel 49!

Good place to go for Dinner
Nov. 2019 • Couples
We visited here based on a friend’s recommendation. We order a cranberry radler (I’m not a big beer drinker so wanted something easy to drink) and it was a great beer as I’m more a g&t guy. We had the spicy chicken burger with waffle fries. Burger was solid and had a good kick. The pickled jalapeños with cole slaw was a great combo. Waffle fries with cilantro mayo was a nice touch.

Ran out of donuts so had a ginger beer to finish off the meal. Was a solid beverage and lots of ginger flavour (wish I had some gin)... and yes, I understand I went to a brewery for dinner!

All in all, good meal and would recommend a visit.

Fun and lively place with a casual vibe. Great atmosphere. Servers were super kind and helpful. Beer was great. Didn’t have any food but it looked good. Tons of indoor seating and some outside as well.

Fantastic brewery

One of East Van's biggest highlights. Probably the largest seating area and has a food truck inside. The decor is really interesting and industrial/urban . THE BEER! They always have different beers to try along side the tried and true staples. Staff are always super friendly. I have been many times and look forward to my next visit.

Outstanding off the beaten track brewery in new Yeast City area of Van City!

This place has all my favourites; tacos, sausages, pretzels and most importantly great IPA’s. 4 Hazy IPAs too! Great in house food truck and over 40 beers on tap.

Great food and great beer selection
Nov. 2018 • Couples
the food was yummy, the family-style seating was cool (as long as you win the neighbor lottery) and the flights of beer were a great entree into trying out some new types of beer. Who knew a pumpkin-spice lager would be good???
