My 5 year old loved this park. A lot of interesting climb on toys. I felt he needed help and supervision, but it was good for him to get his energy out. Lots of benches to sit on and lots of people watching. A few...More

Came through on our walk around Yale Town. We say many kids on the play equipment surrounded by parents. There were teenagers playing frisbee and others just enjoying the weather. There were homeless people sleeping that kept to their own area but were a reminder...More

This inviting green space beckoned many times on a recent Vancouver stay when I was walking on Davie Street en route to the SkyTrain's Yaletown-Roundhouse station. It stood out as an oasis in the midst of high-rise condo buildings on four sides. So I finally...More

This park was delightful. There's a large, newish play area with a lot of interesting equipment for kids. There's a fountain and "stream" that was full of splashing kids when the weather got warm. Everything was clean, people were friendly...lots of locals and their kids....More

There are many small parks that dot Yale town. This block park borders Davie and Richards. It has so many up sides: water feature, actual grass, meandering concrete walkways, kids play area,trees/shrubs and benches to people watch or enjoy you coffee/snack. As well, there is...More

This is a beautiful park that provides a good stopping point on a walking tour of Vancouver. Interesting fountain as well as numerous benches to enjoy a little peace and quiet. Unfortunately, the park has become a magnet for the street people of Vancouver so...More

Homeless people sleep where the children play. We have found several needles in the bushes, on the ground and in the water feature when it is turned off. We live right beside the park but rarely go there due to the crowd that generally hangs...More

We discovered the park when walking back to our hotel. It's an amazing park and we stopped there every day while we were in Vancouver. My 10 year old daughter loved to join the kids in the water falls / splash pad ( wearing all...More

A good place to sit and rest after a hard day of trekking around Vancouver. But also quite a few homeless people (seems to be quite an issue in downtown Vancouver generally).

If the kids need to run around a bit, Emery Barnes has lots of big playground toys, some running water for them to wade in. It is beautifully presented, and along Davie St, very close to much of the fun stuff Downtown. For us this...More

A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines
verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with
Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a
paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and
perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most
languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset
Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to
take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along
