We enjoyed walking around South Granville. It was originally envisioned to be the "Nob Hill of Vancouver", referencing an elite area of San Francisco known for its mansions. South Granville is the stretch of Granville St. between West 2nd and West 16th, including one residential...More

South Granville is a vast neighbourhood. Although not technically located at the edge of the Granville Bridge and 4th avenue, it is know to start there. It harbours one of the most expensive commercial strips in Canada along Granville street (between 4th and 16th), but...More

Oh wait... that's New Hampshire. South Granville is fun too. Hang out here for a couple of hours walking through the shops, buy a chocolate from Purdy's, check out the very expensive cheeses at Meinhardt's, see a play at The Stanley, go to the only...More

Don't miss out on any part of granville. It is a very pretty place with lots to do. The weather was good to us whilst we were in Vancouver. It only rained on the day we left

This is a wonderful way to spend an hour or two. Lots of good art, antiques, and fashion stores. Along with places to heat. Being an uphill walk (depending on your direction), it is a good work out. As for parking, look on the side...More

I grew up and lived in Kits for over 20 years. Walking the south Granville area was atreat on a rainy weekend. There seemed to be stalwart resstaurants in the area -Normandie and Szazz's are long gone.

South Granville contains many retail stores and restaurants, but locally it's known primarily for the various art and antique stores. Sure, the proprietors may come across as pretentious and snobby, and treat you like dirt if you're not wearing the right kind of shoes/clothing, but...More

We spent a morning wandering around South Granville and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are lots of great independent stores as well as a large Chapters Store and some other chains like Anthropologie and the US kitchen store Williams Sonoma. Easy to get to from Downtown...More

The neighbourhood closest to the airport, a generous
mix of locals and tourists populate the area. The
blend has made it a go-to spot to find an eclectic
collection of entertainment, from theatres and
cinemas, to antique stores and last-minute kitsch
souvenir shops. It gives off a transient vibe, and is
one of the more higgledy-piggledy areas in terms of
what you'll find, making it a fun area to explore and
