The beach itself isn't that nice, and is quite small. However, it offers great views of North and West Vancouver, and you can see how the locals live. From Jericho beach, walk along Point Grey Rd to Kitsilano beach. There are many beautiful houses along the way, and great views. From Kitsilano you can walk over the bridge to the... More

I am blessed because I live near enough to Jericho to walk the dog there nearly every day. My focus is more the adjacent park than the beach, but it is nice small cove-like beach with lifeguarded swimming in the summer. Sandy at mid to high water mark with pebbles and shells on the flats at mid to low tide.... More

Great place for a Sunday afternoon bike ride and picnic! It is less crowded than Kits beach and very scenic :)

Always love this area, many miles of beach to walk, great fish and chips when open, no crowds. Great change of pace.

This area is one of Vancouver's best kept secrets. The Gallery Restaurant and Patio is an amazing place to spend a summer day or evening.

We love to pack a lunch, pack up our bikes and head down to Jericho Beach. There are some beautiful big trees on the grassy area where you plant yourself. Bring your chairs and have a beautiful sunny day reading or just people watching. Flush toilets and showers too.

Jericho Beach and Spanish Banks are marvelous beaches to enjoy the majestic nautical view especially during the summer months. Freighters, sail water craft, cabin cruisers and luxury cruise ships regularly ply the waters enroute to Burrard Inlet. While a bit pricey finger food and drinks are available from the beach concessions. Parking is ample but admitted challenging during the summer... More

the walk along the beach was one of the best in Vancouver. The path were clean and clear. But it can be over crowded on weekends

I have been to Jericho beach many times already and it is nice place to park your car, sleep and just watch the people walking by, watch the nice beach, people having picnics in there as well. People are playing volleyball. What a lovely place to relax and I truly recommend this place.

Staying in West Point Grey

Neighbourhood Profile
West Point Grey
West Point Grey is one of the city’s oldest neighbourhoods, especially known for its easygoing and admired beachfronts. Locals crowd the Spanish Banks and Jericho Beach, especially in the summer, where a sprawling view of the English Bay awaits. The central village is an oasis of sovereign shops, many of them in local operation for years. The neighbourhood has a more personal feeling to it, and can be a wonderful and much-needed break from the bustle of big-city life, being a little haven of peace and quiet with an almost village temperament in the heart of Vancouver.
