My friends and I always make a point of kayaking the Creek at least once a summer. David and the staff are super helpful in arranging our myriad of requests with laughter and smiles all around. Their new piers and launch pads make it easy to get in and out of the water. The every changing and stunning Vancouver shoreline... More

I'd definitely recommend this place for kayak rentals! A beautiful spot to start (right at Olympic village) and a beautiful area to check out downtown Vancouver's sights!

Great way to see the skyline of Vancouver! Very calm water which is excellent for beginners. DON'T fall in because the water is dirty! They also have lockers so you can lock up your belongings. Great kayaking!

My partner and I decided to entertain our visiting Australian cousins with a 2 hour kayak paddle through False Creek. This was our first time renting at Creekside. It definitely won't be our last. The kayaks were comfortable, and the staff was absolutely wonderful. They were meticulous about safety, and patiently helped everyone into, and more importantly, for a couple... More

There is no better way to escape the city...then to paddle a kayak up false creek. I have been paddling here for over a year and its my escape and exercise place all in one! Where else can you workout alongside a sea otter! This place gets busy with many Dragon boat and group events. So best to book ahead... More

A friend and I just wanted to be in the water and the sun. Renting a kayak at Creekside is the best way to get a kayak into the water without a lot of work. The staff is knowledge and helpful. The surroundings are beautiful. I don't have to sweat about the kayak before and after the activity. Great way... More

Well that was a lot of fun! My boyfriend and I were visiting Vancouver and went for a walk around the sea wall. We ended up checking out Creekside Kayaks and went for a paddle! It was awesome - I've never been before! At first I was pretty freaked out, but the staff there was awesome and helpful. Clearly I... More

I have never kayaked before but I wandered down to see if Creekside Kayaks was open. I was told by co-workers that it was the way to show new friends to the City. I'm happy I took their advice! I think the person renting me the kayaks knew I was really nervous. They told me what to watch out for... More

We dropped by on a whim while cycling around False Creek. The kayak division is actually run by a non-profit organization that runs all the dragon boat events in town, so even though the kayak programs don't open for another week or so there was someone in the office. We asked about kayaking and they said that since it was... More

Staying in Southeast False Creek

Neighbourhood Profile
Southeast False Creek
Developed alongside the Vancouver Olympic Village for the 2010 Winter Games, a past fraught with hardship has recently been overcome, and builders are changing the landscape on the ground of Southeast False Creek at a rapid pace. With waterfront dining, ultra-modern facilities, sports stadiums, and a load of greenery, parks, and rest spots built into the ever-changing infrastructure, it's a fast-paced and mutable spot to see Vancouver taking shape and making history. It is especially popular for the casual sportsman, as the Seawall on the water makes for one of the most scenic locations for cycling or roller-blading, jogging or strolling.
