Have been flying with Seair for business regularly over the past 2 years. Very friendly and professional operation, and the Cessna Caravans are fast, quiet and roomy. I fly usually Nanaimo Harbour to downtown Vancouver, and once in a while to YVR south terminal. Seair's Nanaimo base is close to BC Ferries and a shorter drive from the north.

We took Seair's regularly-scheduled service from Vancouver Harbour to Nanaimo and loved it. The staff at check-in (Sherrie and the young man who handled the baggage) could not have been more pleasant. The flight itself was short and scenic, a great time saver.

My daughter & I went to the Vancouver Playhouse for a matinee performance. We decided to take the 10:30 AM ferry, then bus into Vancouver on the express, & have a quick bite to eat before the 2:00 PM performance. Well, the ferry was very late due to all the ferry cancellations the day before because of wind storms. We... More

Fortunate to take last flight of the day at 5:30pm on a beautiful sunny October which meant a stunning sunset flight. But first, the South Van Terminal lounge was nice to relax in. Wifi, coffee, newspapers, comfy chairs. The pilot was super nice and friendly. He knew all passengers on my flight who commute to Saltspring Island. That personal touch... More

This was mine & my son's first flight on a seaplane & it couldn't have been any better! The check-in staff (we left from YVR South end) were courteous & friendly, the pilot had 30 yrs experience and was friendly too. My son was able to sit in the co-pilot's seat & wear the headphones so he could hear all... More

Tourists love wearables that announce to the world "been there, done that..." Their base at Vancouver Airport has a selection of Seair Seaplanes logoed-merchandise with just that--a logo. Nothing to identify the company's location, like "Vancouver, BC, Canada" or "Fastest way to the Saltspring Islands" under the logo. From what I saw this is a class operation with clean aircraft,... I booked this as a surprise for the family. We took off and headed for Mt Garibaldi. After seeing some amazing sights we landed on the turquoise lake and moored at the far end near a waterfall. We had a lovely lunch and the kids then swam in the chilly meltwater! After an hour we took a scenic route back... More

Check in was easy. Free parking pass across the street. The plane departed on time. Our pilot Bob was the bomb! Online price only $87 each way!!!! What more can one ask? And 5-legged well behaved frequent flyers?

If you don't need a car and must be in Richmond, Vancouver or The Gulf Islands I would consider Seair. I have taken them many times and it is a GREAT time saver. First time on on a float plane and will go that way every time I can. I've always taken the ferry when traveling from Vancouver to Saltspring because I assumed flying would be too expensive. It isnt! Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
