Granville Island Brewing is a must do for any beer lover visiting Vancouver. You can try up to ten different local beers, most of them are brewed by the Granville Island Brewing Company, some of the beers are average like IPA's and Pale Ales others have twists like being infused with banana or toffee. The food is also fantastic at... More

What better place for a brewery than a popular tourist attraction! We had a sample of 4 beers before settling on the maple and lions ale! Absolutely delicious beer! No televisions to enjoy sports so it's all conversations! Excellent servers and highly recommend to any beer aficionado!

We visited Granville Island Brewing Company for lunch on a busy Sunday. Tables are long and shared with others. It was a happy and loud place. There are tours available for those inclined. We started with a taster round ($7) and settled for a sleeve of Honey Lager (5.50) which was enjoyed. We also ordered the taco appetizer which included... More

Saw this when planning our holiday in Vancouver. Had to go there when at the island. It was the only decent place I found on the island. They had a great bar and eatery area. I tried some taster size glasses of beer and loved the maple cream beer. Would love to have the boys there for a Friday session... More

Went here with some friends to check out Granville. The market was good and visiting the Brewery for a beer tasting experience made it fantastic. Try put their porter - it's marvellous!

They offer a brewery tour which we opted not to take and instead went to the bar and did the beer tasting. You get to choose 4 to taste! They were amazing!

Stopped in and signed up for one of their brewery tours. Tour lasted an hour and our guide was great. He went through how beer was made and the timeline of Granville brewing a creations. At the end we got to try 3 of their beers on tap-- the hef, their standard lager and the winter ale. This may be... More

We came across the brewery whilst wandering around Granville Island; it was a fantastic find. We spent around an hour here sat at the bar with a beer flute of 4 ales/lagers. You can even do a brewery tour, although we didn't do this so not sure if you have to book In advance. Definitely a nice way to while... More

Stopped here after a conference with coworkers. We each ordered flights with 4 beers. I'm not usually a beer drinker but I'm glad we stopped here to experience it. My coworkers thought the beer was good, and like I mentioned, I was just drinking some to experience local brewed beer - so my opinion on the beer is irrelevant. The... More

Being the fiancée of a brewer I knew we would have do some market research during our recent Vancouver trip but I certainly was not disappointed when we visited GIB. Great beer, great service, great location. Buy a flight then you get to try 7 beers and we all then chose our favourite & went from there. Really friendly &... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere.
