The Homer Street "shrine" is really more of a tourist-attraction memorabilia collection museum (kind of like all the Elvis shrine/museums around the world. I don't think it had any direct connection to Jimi Hendrix the musician. The 207 Union Street "shrine" actually has a living...More

Intrigued by the 2 addresses, and the photos that don't match, I set out to solve the puzzle. 432 Homer is a small "store" on the east side of downtown. Regardless of what the "Overview" says, the place was locked with a sign saying "closed...More

This shrine /building used to be part of Vie’s Chicken & Steak House, where Jimi Hendrix's granny, Nora Hendrix, worked as a cook for many years. It is now on the edge of Chinatown but at the time was the Afro Canadian area. Seemingly Jimi...More

A small shrine to an amazing artist. Also a spot for Bob Marley fans. As other reviews may point out, this place is free to enter and run by folks who love the music and history. Ask a few questions and you can learn a...More

What a neat retro spot to visit in Vancouver...funky memorabilia and pictures and quotes. Entrance by donation or free so it is affordable for everyone. Great that the owner is paying tribute to such a talented, creative genius.

I was impressed to see this place, you can tell that it is only running because the owner has a true love of the music and the artists. I was suprised at how much he actually knew, lots of cool pictures, quotes, articles and memrobelia....More
