Good Service

Amtrack needs to catch up. The staff at this station were great. There is an A&W and a Subway and newstand which is nice. Our train had no wifi so beware and it was super old.

As has been written by others, this is a must trip. My wife and I have today taken the train from Everette to Vancouver and could not praise the 4-hour journey enough. The guard was funny and very helpful, we got to see numerous bald eagles along the shoreline as well as spectacular views.

At the edge of Chinatown and Main Street, the station is a must see even if you are not a passenger! The architecture is amazing and it served as a set to many movies: check its distribution at the first X-man movie when Loagan tries to find Rouge.

I think the building is probably the same inside as it was sixty years ago and has a great retro feel when you are waiting for the Canadian train to arrive. The seats look most uncomfortable, but in reality are pretty good, not that I would want to spend hours in them. Washrooms, for customers only, were clean and handy.... More

I booked what I thought was a round trip train ride from Vancouver to Seattle, only to arrive in Vancouver to find out I was going by bus. Trains only run early in the morning and again late at night, however, the website does not show this clearly. I made sure that my trip back was on the train. It... More

It is a train station, you actually go through immigration pre clearance if you were to go to Seattle for example on the train. Even early in the morning the lines were long because of this. We arrived early to catch the Megabus to Seattle. There were a few shops, got wifi and the staff were nice enough to direct... More

This station is now used for bus services and is central to about every place in Vancouver. The heritage is unique inside and out.The foliage and well kept lawns make this a historical must see when in Vancouver!

We went from Vancouver to Seattle. The ride was great and the station was very clean. It had a little confectioners that came handy.

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
