We met some family at the cafe. Ordered some hot and cold beverages. The food looked very good. Outdoor seating area as well. The Art Gallery offers free admission on Tuesdays to see exhibits. Great deal. Located downtown.
We went to the exhibit on a Friday before it closes to the public. It was an outstanding display of examples of Guo Pei's outstanding design work and explanations of her approach and philosophy of design.
Located in the heart of downtown, this is a beautiful gallery (more like a museum actually) with four floors of art - paintings, films, and other displays. We were fortunate to see the fabulous couture of Guo Pei, a Chinese designer who creates over-the-top gowns....More
Although I was not a huge fan of the present fashion exhibit (Guo Pei), there is always interesting things to learn, especially when you take the free guided tour. There are several every day, and vary as to what area of the different galleries they...More

We went expecting an art museum with permanent exhibits + traveling exhibits, but found only three temporary exhibits (one of Canadian art was fine, the others were curious to say the least). At $20, think twice about the specific temporary exhibits before going (admittedly we...More

Thank you for your comments on our exhibitions. We would like to have permanent exhibitions especially because we have a large permanent collection but our space only allows for rotating presentations.

Generally photography is allowed but it does depend on the exhibitions. There will be signs posted if it is not allowed.
Flash, tripods and selfie sticks are not allowed.
enjoy your visit,
There are special exhibits that merit that price. I'd you go on line you can purchase tickets (Groupon) for $19. Also note there are "by donation" admission. Schedule your date to visit so you can maximize your gallery... More
There are special exhibits that merit that price. I'd you go on line you can purchase tickets (Groupon) for $19. Also note there are "by donation" admission. Schedule your date to visit so you can maximize your gallery tour. I have always enjoyed my visits to the Gallery. And I have visited so many internationally..."world-class" ones as well. VAG needs improvement in curating, but that requires money...hope that answers your question.
