This is a great city beach. We have family in the area and I don't think we would have visited otherwise. You can cycle it from Stanley Park/Sea Wall (which is what we did). We also came back at sunset and it blew me away....More

The host at our B&B recommended visiting Kitsilano Beach. The day was very warm and there was lots of activity. We enjoyed a walk and lovely views of the city.

A nice setting to people watch, read a book or just relax. Very well maintained and enjoyable. Not far from places to eat as well.

Found this beach in a guide book when in Vancouver I decided to go try it out. We were very impressed nice atmosphere full of families and freindly locals with rest rooms and food trucks and a good restaurant close by.

During the summer usually, but the salt water pool right next door on the beach is kept at 25 degrees (Celsius). It is open May to mid-September.
