Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place to go for a long walk and soak in the atmosphere. At one end, you will pass along nice beeches with great views of the bay, ocean, and mountains. You will also pass by (at Davie St.) coffee shops and lunch spots. At the other end, you will walk along Stanley Park and seawall, lined by beautiful cedar, hemlock, and fir trees. If you are lucky, you might spot some seals or sea lions. Great any time of the year.

This is a favourite Canadian beach and Vancouverites love it. You can play volleyball, rent a kayak, stroll, eat at the cactus club restaurant and bar or take in a happy hour. Fireworks are spectacular in August at the Symphony of Fire.

Best spot to take a stroll along the Vancouver waterfront, with small boat access across to Granville Island with many artist shops and fine dining. Got this new Cactus Club restaurant sitting right at the shoreline, Best spot for staring in the beautiful sunset!

We like going to English Bay, it has a great vibe. Cool hangout to see sunset by the water. We could spend more time there but it is too crowded for comfort

The walking path and being near the ocean make this a good place to go every time we visit. There are restaurants and places to stop to get drinks while you walk the long paths along the water and beach.

Start at the Sylvia Hotel ...walk west on the sea wall .!
Notice the many languages around you ....very good people and dog watching ... Cut north and walk around the pond ...then east to Denman Street.. Walk down Denman st back to the Sylvia ...Enjoy a breakfast , brunch and snack in their beautiful restaurant or lounge with the best view

On nearly every visit to Vancouver we usually find ourselves enjoying the English Bay Beach. It is enjoyable in all seasons and is not to be missed.

Loved walking down here, the lights in the trees during the Christmastime were beautiful. Very busy walk ways, weather was cold but beautiful. Lovely to see the ocean at Christmas. So close to the City centre.
