full of pot smoking hippies. loose scary looking dogs running around. packed parking lot. there are lots of other nice beaches around if you are not a hippie or do not want to contend with stray pit bulls...

Chestermans Beach is a must if you are ever in the Tofino area. Low tide gives you the opportunity to walk all the way out to Franck Island where you can watch the high rollers crash against the coast of the island. There are kilometers of sandy beach to walk and the sight and sound of the waves coming to... More

Simply spectacular spot, parked the car at a public access parking lot of the way back from dinner on a whim and we were treated to a spectacular sunset. I could have soaked up that atmosphere for hours, it was pure magic. We went back the next day (in the rain) to walk the beach more out to Frank Island... More

Stunning beach, awesome rocks - the west coast at its best. Waves come crashing in and almost impossible to get bored watching those. Tonnes of space for all activities.

I highly recommend taking your teenagers on a surfing adventure with one of the many surfing companies in town. More than likely they will take you to Chesterman beach for the amazing surf. Or if you just want to walk the beach and take in the breathtaking beauty of the West Coast with the fresh sea air and the crashing... More

We had a long walk on a beautiful sunny day. We didn't even realize that we spent 2hr there enjoying the sunshine and panoramic views of the ocean. It was so perfect!

This is a typical west coast hard sand beach just south of Tofino with rolling surf from the wide open Pacific Ocean. It is easy to get to and this beach and Cox Bay just to the south are favorite for surfing year round. Watch for sand -dollar shells . Usually eagles to be seen

My husband and son spent an afternoon surfing here on a rainy day. Great place to sit in a chair and watch the surfers. South Chesterman is the place to surf for beginners. This is a great beach for beach combing and watching the waves roll in.

Our favorite beach to go while in Tofino. This beach is perfect for beginner surfers as a bit more sheltered. A great place to walk dogs and relax
