Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

walked up the Tonquin Trail from Tofino village and did all 3 beaches. The first (Tonquin Beach) was truly stunning, appearing out of nowhere like a hidden little gem. The second was just a rocky outspur, while the third (Middle Beach) was similar to the first. A lovely hike and some great views! It took us about an hour, maybe a bit more to do the whole thing.

Interesting walk through a beautiful forest. Part of it is a boardwalk with stairs. A lot of interesting carvings on the boardwalk sections. Part of it you come out on the beach to enjoy exploring. It is a little difficult to climb down to the beach from the path. There should be a couple stairs put in in those areas. Small parking lot at entrance with a small cost.

A nice walk to the beach. Quite a few steps but easy to navigate. Very interesting beach and cove. Some good photo opportunities.

Beautiful short hike through forested areas down to the beach. Not crowded. Short easy hike that was really enjoyable. One of the access points is currently closed due to construction but the main access point to the trail is still open. Free parking close by.

Lovely coastal walk from Tofino, passing some empty sandy beaches along a fairly easy path. Viewpoints give good vantage points to see coastline

From the town of Tofino it's a short five minute drive to the small parking area for the Tonquin Beach Trail. It's a 3 km walk with a loop in the middle, but at the end you'll take the same route you started on. It took us about an hour because we stopped at a couple of the beaches. The beaches are in bit of a protected area so there aren't huge waves, making it a good place for wading and kids. There are about 45 stairs down (and of course 45 back up) and some elevation, but not too bad. Good mix of forest and beach views.

The Tonquin park trail was very beautiful and well maintained. When we arrived at Second and Third Beach, they were completely deserted and we had amazing views.

It’s a beautifully green and lush trail down to the ocean. The beach was empty and the waves were wild. Loved to hear the waves crash on the rocks.

Ocean views, with lush rainforest foliage, gnarled trees. Rain or shine, this hike provides a wonderful escape.
