Great lodging!

Stayed at WardoWest's lodging for a month for a trip in Tofino. Great place, super chill and well setup. Lovely location between town and all the nice beaches. A+!

First visit to this part of Canada. Gorgeous part of the world. I have chartered over a hundred boats on the eastern US coast over the last twenty years and Wardowest ranks up there with the best of them. I will go back next year. Not only was the fishing exceptional but the lodge is very clean and a warm... More

While visiting Tofino, we opted to try salmon fishing. My husband has never fished in his life, so I thought it would be awesome to get him out there! Shawn took us out on the boat, it was overcast and a little gloomy. The water was perfect though. Incredibly calm and beautiful. Shawn let us know to keep an eye... More

It was a rough day at sea and with my two kids on board I didn't feel up to braving offshore so we decided to go up the inlet side instead. It ended up being so so much fun! Shawn the captain suggested casting where we saw some big fish jumping. We started hooking into fish soon after. Feeling that... More

Leaving the dock in the morning "Fogust" (know locally for the foggy month of August). Watching the fog rise from the water like ghost fingers on the horizon. A boat and guide all to ourselves. The boat bobs and bounces as we rode the waves to just the right spot. Then we wait.... till the frenzy begins! We had a... More

Starting with the lodge, WardoWest will give you probably the best fishing experience you can have in Tofino. Paul and Shawn are very hard working guides and it really does not matter which one will take you fishing. They always find the fish and will not quit until the job is done! Not only they work extremely hard but at... More

Awesome time had by all! Shawn was on top of the fish. Double headers of King salmon are an absolute blast! Mark was a great host. This was our second trip to Tofino and won't be the last.

We arrived in Tofino and had no plans. I was worried I wouldn't get a chance to go fishing with my son and his friend. I called Ward and Mark was able to fit me in the next day at 2. We met Paul at the dock the next day at 2. He recommended either salmon or Halibut fishing. We... More
