Overview

Rainforest Trail has two routes, A & B, both of which fully engulf you in the temperate rainforest full of gigantic western red cedars and western hemlocks. Sparking a sensation of zen, you will be overcome with the nostalgia of your childhood memories, ready to make more. Scan the upper canopy for birds, listen to the trickle of water and smell the life of this highly productive forest. Trail A is located on the opposite side of the highway from the parking lot. Trail B starts from the parking lot.

Great walk with interpretive signs. Found it very interesting and educational. Make sure you wear good shoes especially if it has rained.

The trail is perfectly maintained and a "medium challenge" for hikers (lots and lots of steps and narrow planks). My friend and I absolutely loved this magical trail, but met a few people that were terrified of falling through stairs, afraid of heights, etc. The...More

The boardwalk in the rainforest was amazing. It wasn't very busy, which made the experience even more magical. There are trail updates going on, but everything is always open. There is also information signs which really help to understand just how cool the area really...More

Lovely walk through the woods to the cove. Streams, tangled woodland and wildlife, very pretty. Lovely little private beach.

We recently spent a wonderful week in Ucluelet and Tofino. This is such a beautiful area but of all the attractions this was my favourite. There are 2 separate walks, one on either side of the highway where each is a 1K boardwalk through old...More

Learn about the temperate rainforest on Vancouver Island while enjoying a beautiful walk. The well-designed boardwalks give great access to all parts of this unique ecosystem. Not to be missed!

One of the best and most beautiful hikes I have ever completed. Good for all hikers that can do steps and enjoy a varied forest. It is easy to see why they call it a rainforest with the lush vegitation.

The Rainforest Trail has a well set up pathway through. As you walk along you will see many interesting trees and observe how dead trees serve as growth sites for new trees and other plants.

It's a short drive from Tofino, towards Uqleut. If you go to the visitors centre you can pick up a free map and all locals should be aware of it.
