Eagle Aerie Gallery is Roy Henry Vickers' artist-owned gallery located in Tofino, British Columbia. This stunning traditional Northwest Coast longhouse with a carved and painted cedar plank exterior and doors of beaten copper, is a recognizable Tofino landmark. Inside discover Roy's artwork of paintings, original prints, calendars, art cards, and reproductions hanging on hand adzed cedar walls among totem poles and carvings. As you enter the large main hall, you'll notice the soft lighting and restful music that creates an atmosphere of harmony and peace. The gallery is open free to the public seven days a week throughout the year.

Built in 1986 with the help of Roy's family and legendary carver Henry Nolla, this gallery welcomes more than 500,000 visitors a year from all around the world. Please check the events calendar page to see when Roy is scheduled to be storytelling at Eagle Aerie Gallery - this is a not to be missed attraction! Guests gather around the centre pit in the main hall to listen to stories of Roy's life and times as well as inspiration of his work. Afterwards Roy is available to meet guests and autograph his reproductions.

This is a nice way to spend an hour or so in downtown Tofino, admiring modern takes on native NW Indian tribal artwork, in a very calm and relaxing environment.

This gallery is all pieces by well-known BC First Nations artist Roy Vickers. If you are interested in his art, it is worth visiting to see the nice cross section of his work they have for display and sale. Note that they only sell his stuff, however.

Love this Roy Henry Vickers Gallery. Great work to view. Presented very well, a must see if you are visiting Tofino. Mostly pricey stuff, but you can pick up some affordable prints as well.

A must do on your list. Peaceful, beautiful art which links many views of British Columbia. It has always been on my list when I visit Tofino. Sit for awhile and take it all in!

If you could go back in time and visit a gallery that exclusively stocked the works of one of the great artists of the past DURING THAT ARTIST'S LIFETIME, of course you'd do it, wouldn't you? Roy Henry Vickers is a great artist, one whose work will endure beyond his own lifetime. The fact that so much of his work... More
