Pacific Rim National Park is a great spot for west coast surfing, the only issue is that the water is cold, so barefoot surfing can be a real numbing experience. Yes, you can wear booties, though you will not have the same control on the...More

The Canadians have a gem of a park here. There is so much to do for people of all ages. We enjoyed the Green Point Campground. Taking surfing lessons. Hanging out at radar beach. It is hard to take a bad picture!

Stayed for several days on a very good campground - quiet and private places, chance to buy firewood, warm showers and sanidump. Easy access to the beach and trails to watch i.e.the beautiful sunsets. Best situated between Tofino and Ucluelet, easy access to the main...More

Did a number of the walks, all very well marked and with sign boards to tell you more about the area/ history/ culture. Each had it's own feel and wildlife - although the latter was often heard rather than seen!

The fog was there when we went for our hike. We could hear the fog horn, like in a Stephen King movie. This added to this place feeling super special. Around noon the fog disappeared and what a coastline. Beautiful and highly recommended

There are many great walks (for all ages and skill levels) on marked trails. Free admission to all in 2017 (and free parking too)! Very few of the parking lots have rest rooms. Check bulletin boards for maps and wildlife warnings (eg, wolf, bear, cougar...More

I would say a day trip is too short. You will not have enough time to see most of the beautiful places there. December is rainy in this area. You can stay in Ucluelet or Tofino. I love all seasons there but if you don't like... More

This is a big park, no areas to stay at the park but I believe there are campsites as well as lots of hotels/motels nearby. for camping please visit the National Parks website or Google it.

can't bet on the weather, however november can be wet. so you'll have some great storms. bring boots and rain gear and watch the slippery trails. any day and type of weather makes for a great day on the west coast!
