An outstanding, natural waterway well used by locals and tourists, I spent three tranquil days observing this. The silent ferry transports locals to and from Tofino. It is also the hub of whale, wildlife and hot spring tour departures. Seaplanes, water taxis and a rescue helicopter pad are all to be seen. Beautiful sunrises and spectacular sunsets to sea kayaking... More

I really love Tofino area. Many tourist attractions without disturbing the ecology of the setting. It is a must see place. many surf shops to rent from and get lessons as well. Very cold water even in summer so wet suit is a must for this Canadian girl!

We took a boat tour thru Lemmens Inlet and the beauty of the green hillsides of ancient cedar trees, blue water and ever changing sky are stunning. I highly recommend a boat tour to appreciate the scenery.

Clayoquot Sound is a very beautiful area. The marina area that serves it is nice. Many in the area are into the arts of past era. Surfing. The Sound it self is pristine beauty. Take a float plane ride. You won't regret it.

Whether you come by kayak, float plane, broken down RV, VW van, car, or thumb, do come. If you don't, you won't know what you missed. This is a truly magical, mystical place like no other I have been. Embrace your inner hippie.
