Long Beach, the longest beach of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, spans an extraordinary 16km (10mi) along the west coast of Vancouver Island. Described by locals to be magical, you will be astonished by the amount of life that call the tidal pools home. You will be sure to find crabs, shells, starfish, sea urchins and much more.

As the surf comes crashing in, you will find surfers from around the world carving through the peaks of the waves. As the water settles, it gracefully rides up the beach with peaceful trickles and shimmering light from the breathtaking sunset crossing the colourful horizon.

Long Beach is truly a rejunivating getaway for all ages. Whether you're looking to kickback, explore, adventure, hike, surf, or just take one of those long walks on the beach, Long Beach has it all.

This is one of my fave places in the world. Wide open sandy beach. Stroll and watch the waves. The huge rocks make for great views and photos. This is also an awesome beach for surfing. Right now the washrooms are closed due to vandalism so plan your pee breaks accordingly :) also, I believe you must pay for parking... More

Nature at it wildest and best in my opinion with surfers to entertain as you walk and walk... or jump in and take a "refreshing" dip. Really! !

We stopped at almost all of the scenic lookouts between Tofino and Ucluelet and we enjoyed Long Beach on our travels. The area close to the visitors center was especially nice and very accessible. We saw plovers and crashing waves and the logs and driftwood were crashing into the shore at high tide. Good place to see crashing waves

A long, wild beach bordered by rainforest. A delight for surfers, walkers, dogs, nature lovers, photographers and surf watchers.

Was a very windy day and the waves were up pretty good. Got out of the car and heard the thundering waves. What a beautiful beach and area well maintained. Would defiantly recommend anyone to see this. Even some surfers out there.

on Canada's west coast..you look out right across the Pacific Ocean. Long walks on the endless beach, tides, waves, beachcombing and totally natural

Beautiful beach with big surf - great to watch surfers. Lovely to walk your dog, but keep them on leash - eagles are about.

We arrived here after walking in via Schooner Cove on a very stormy day in November. Heavy rains and winds had us pelted with water and we were completely soaked when we left. However, we had the entire beach to ourselves and our dog was in beach heaven. Big surf, and lots of drift wood. We would love to revisit... More
