This trail is on the outskirts of Prince Rupert and is well laid out with a good track underfoot. It winds through typical BC forests and makes its way towards the river where you will eventually find a lovely viewing platform to see the rapids....More

This is a really lovely walk. Not too difficult, through a variety of terrain. It is easy to get to without a car - the local bus stops there on my he way to the cannery. The beach is inviting to explore, or just sit...More

Nice green space enroute to the cannery. Time your walk to fit in with the bus timetable. We are fit and walked down to the beach, had lunch and a relax, continued on to the lookout? And then looped back to the bus stop in...More

A pleasant 5 km walk through a rain coast forest that touches down to the beach. It has very smooth trails which are well maintained & there are several places for both resting & picnicking. Some lovely views but you should check tidal charts in...More

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and to dress for the weather! You want to plan to walk this trail when the tide is changing so that you get to view the rapids. If the tide is already slack...you'll still be in for a treat!...More

a comfortable hiking loop with few hills, it is in a great location just outside of Prince Rupert, with some pretty vistas along the shore

I walked this trail on Monday with friends and for two hours I received a great workout and enjoyed great association with dear friends as we walked.

This is a very scenic walk/hike, and I'd highly recommend it. One very interesting aspect is the reversing falls - we watched kayakers trying to go up the falls, with some success. Enjoy!

Hi I am wondering if this trail is wheelchair accessible, or possible in a power chair or scooter. Thanks

The trail is gravel along with the little hills, so being around wheelchairs I wouldn't want to take a wheelchair along the trails. Hope this is of help.

Is it an easy walk from the town or do you need to drive? Are there walking paths by the highway?

It is not a hard walk at all. It is beautiful through the forest. I agree with the above comment about parking on the highway and walking down the path.
