About
CedarCreek is founded on connections – to the land we care for and to the Okanagan Valley we call home. On our fifty-acre property along the shores of Lake Okanagan, Winemaker Taylor Whelan is building upon three decades of winemaking history, and defining a new chapter with our bright, expressive north Okanagan Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, and aromatic white wines. Deepen your appreciation for our region at our brand new 120-seat restaurant and tasting room. From the panoramic views of the lake, vines and valley, to the mouth-watering local menu, we create an adventure for all of your senses. Whether you’re stopping by for a tasting or to share a bottle and meal in the dining room, we want to help you fall in love with this land and all it offers.

Give the visitor what is promised
This winery states” Farm to Glass Experience in a warm and intimate setting, private visit, remarkable stories will be shared”
We had to pay $22.00 each when we booked our tasting
Yes..a nice winery. We were escorted inside where we were seated on a couch, which, by the way, had not been wiped down from the previous couple.
A fellow (unfortunately we were not given his name) put down the wine glasses, gave us two cards with listings of wines we would be tasting. (He addressed all his comments to me alone..did not include us both) . He poured a tasting and then left. He was doing two other tastings at the same time, one of which had 4 people, where he spent most of his time. He asked if we wanted to do the pairing for an extra $18.00 which we declined and our service went even more downhill from there as the group of 4 was pairing. When he finally returned, he briefly told us how that wine was made and that was it. Poured another tasting and disappeared again. After a considerable length of time, he returned and wanted to know what we wanted to purchase. Very impersonal.
I have no problem standing at a bar for tasting...We did not feel the service we received was worth anywhere near the money we were required to pay. Also, if we wanted to purchase a bottle, there was no amount taken off our $22.00 ..no discount, as other wineries supply.
I understand there are wonderful reviews from those who chose to pair or even have a meal....all we wanted was to taste your wine. Sorry, but we will not return...this was a week ago and we have already shared our experience with several friends who have since said they will skip Cedar Hills

I only left like one or two reviews before, so you know I mean it when I write a review. My family visited during the Labor day weekend and we were very disappointed with the tasting experience. I heard restaurant is great but I didn't get to try, so I can't speak for that part, but tasting wise, I can tell you that you should skip for another winery. I visited Cedar Creek and Quail's Gate during my visit and I would say we had 100 times better experience at Quail's Gate.
We were very unclear in terms of how the tasting work from the moment sitting down. We just had menu on the table and we hadn't been given any instruction how the tasting works. I bought the tastings online but I was expecting to hear how it actually works (how many wines to choose from, which wines to choose from, which wines would suit our taste bud better etc). Instead, server basically told us just pick wines from menu and walked away. We were so lost and had to ask again after few mins how it works and then she explained.
Tasting wise, we were given all wines at the same time. At one point we had 15 glasses in front of us (5 glasses each for three tasting package). We didn't enjoy that experience because we should be able to enjoy one wine at a time and be able to share our opinion with each other. But instead, they brought out all wines at once and we had to manually look back at menu ourselves to do wine comparison. Also server was only there when we say we have questions. At every other winery for tastings, we normally have dedicated server to guide us through and help us navigate through each wine, but here, we felt like we were just given wines and rushed to do comparison.
The winery and the view is beautiful, but if you sit down, the view is blocked by stone wall that's built at the edge, so unless you stand up, you won't be able to catch the great view. We may come back to try the restaurant at some point, but we wouldn't come back to this winery for tasting again.

One of the more expensive tasting experiences in the Okanagan, with no fees waived upon wine purchase, but we were there for almost an hour on their lovely patio and thoroughly enjoyed it. We did the tasting of five wines paired with small bites from their kitchen for $40 per person. You can choose from one of three menus, consisting of five wines paired with four small bites. We each chose a different menu so got to share between ourselves and taste up to ten wines.Jenny was a wonderful host, explaining each wine as it was brought out and why it paired well with the food. She also helped us with our purchase when we were finished. We had a lovely visit and have already recommended it to friends.

Visited Cedar Creek Winery for first time today for wine tasting. We made reservations and when we arrived it was like they weren’t even expecting us. Everything seemed disorganized and unprofessional. Considering we paid $22 per person for this experience, it was beyond disappointing. Food paring at $16 per plate was also lacking. Toasted bread was burnt and saturated in olive oil and plate was dropped off with little explanation as too how it related to the wine being tasted. Will not go back. Much better experience at smaller wineries such as Intrigue or Grey Monk and those tastings are free with purchase of wine.

I joined the Cedar Creek Wine Club after visiting in 2019. I am a Platinum Club member. Since joining they have continually restricted what I get in my regular shipment and moved wines that were Platinum into their new higher price Aspect collection, Wines that have increased by over $15 a bottle in one year, Now in my shipments I must take wines that I don't want (wines that are at the higher end of their price scale) and the only way I can get what I want is to buy more than the regular 6 bottle shipment. This is a very poor marketing approach and one that is used by their owner at Mission Hills. It was for this very reason I also cancelled my Mission Hills subscription. Being forced to take a $140 bottle of their vastly overpriced Bordeaux blends in each shipment sure isn't a sign of customer focus. This is winery that I really liked and spent thousands of $ in annual wine purchases and now I am cancelling my membership as a very disgruntled customer. So sad for a winery that i felt had so many great wines at high value..

We booked and took the Vineyard & Barrel Tasting Experience at Cedar Creek a week ago.
I was disappointed in the tour for a number of reasons. It was "not as advertised" the description of the tour on their website says "From our vineyard, move to a tasting of our latest vintage directly from barrel." which leads one to believe you may be going to see the barrel room... but all it was is just a tasting from a bottle with new wine in it outside under a gazebo. Then we were led to a plain table in the full hot sunshine on the deck of the wineshop with no shade on a hot day to do our tastings. In the description online it says "This guided seated tasting features five award-winning CedarCreek wines and takes place in a warm and intimate setting in the shade of our silver linden tress, surrounded by our modern farmhouse buildings." VERY misleading. We were given wines to drink in the hot glasses that were left sitting in the midday sun on the tables. We then had to exit through the wine shop that was packed with people waiting shoulder to shoulder to get to the bar to pay for their purchases. In the wine shop there was no social distancing and none of the guests had masks on. All in all it seemed they cared more about putting the tourists through without worrying about their safety in this time of Covid 19. Our tour guide for the vineyard was good and she wore a mask at times. But the wineshop was badly managed. We had taken a tour at Mission Hill a couple of weeks earlier and it was handled expertly, so I was expecting the same quality because these wineries are owned by the same parent company but this was not the case. Most unfortunate.

27$ each to taste 6 wines ! Normally this would be refunded if you bought some wine and dined there but not here.
Be aware that the portions of food are huge, we had two courses and had to leave most of the main . We ordered the same mains but got different ones but when we asked, it was our fault and we couldn’t be bothered arguing about it.
Overall overpriced mediocre food that was spoilt by giving such huge portions.
Not the best selection of wines we have tasted in the Okanagan area. A Bordeaux style Red wasn’t included in their selected tasting but we asked to try it and enjoyed it. We selected it to accompany our meal.
There is too much emphasis on sleek selling which we found the products didn’t merit.
There are much better places in the area.

This will be my second review of the restaurant at Cedar Creek. The first was generally very positive , with a small complaint with respect to service. This one is one is unreservedly positive.
The architecture of the winery is striking , bold and modern. The restaurant itself , while large, is impeccably designed and crafted. Very impressive! I personally was not crazy about the large painting on the rear wall , but what do I know about art.
I do know food however think I know food and this place hits it out of the park!
Roasted cauliflower was superb; crisp , tangy and crunchy.
While I am no fan of beets , a beet salad was divine. I may convert.
The monkfish was excellent as swell, perfectly cooked , thick, juicy and tasty.
I was however slightly disappointed with the " gourmet " fires. Not so much.
Service was impeccable and wine superb and well priced.
A must go when in Kelowna.

We had a tasting for 10 people. The view is lovely and we felt the quality of the wine was very good. The booking for the tasting was unusual as you must pre-pay, we couldn't book more than a month in advance and when we thought we might have an additional person (and phoned them) they said that could be a problem as their tables sat 10. As it turned out we didn't change our reservation number so it was only 10 people and they still split us up. The server was pleasant but just read what was on the wine menu sheet. She may have had a cold as she was very hoarse so it was very difficult to hear her plus the acoustics in the room where we were positioned were poor (there were only 12 other people in the entire room). I wonder if this may be the place to go for a meal and tasting. As others have said the tasting is expensive $27/person plus tax) with no discount for buying wine (we had 3 people buy wine including someone who bought a membership (none of them were given discount for the tasting).

We were nearby so decided to check out Cedarcreek Estate. Are we ever glad we did. Brin was our hostess and super friendly and knowledgeable!!! We bought several bottles...and totally enjoyed the experience. The
view was incredible from the tasting room. There's a bistro to eat at but we had already eaten so can't comment on that. What I loved learning was this winery is converting to organic practices and is almost there. Great for the environment and us humans!!!

can we go to the winery just for the site seeing rather than actually tasting the wine?
