The BC Wine Museum & VQA Wine Shop was opened 15 years ago with the intention to bring the history of the Okanagan Wine Region to the public, as well as to help teach the public about the vast wine industry in BC. Our shop sells BC Vintners Quality Alliance wines; which is a guarantee that you’re purchasing 100% BC Wine. We sell at winery prices and carry over 600 listings of wine from over 90 wineries. When you purchase wine from the BCVQA Wine Shop, not only are you supporting the Kelowna Museums Society, but you are also supporting local VQA Wineries.

The Wine and Orchard museum is located in an old fruit packing factory which has been converted into an events hall and small two-room museum. The museum is free and worth a look. It took me about an hour to look at and read everything. The orchard room has some old canning, packing, and harvesting equipment on display, and a... More

They advertised hours of 10-6 and we got there and they were closed. False advertising. Were in town for Christmas with family

I live here and still find myself wandering into historical places like this to learn more about the history of Kelowna. Be prepared to spend some time looking and listening to the educators here. Well worth a visit on a chilly winter day while sipping a coconut latte

A great place to go for the widest possible selection of BC wines, all housed in an impressive location. Conveniently located in downtown Kelowna. And with very friendly and helpful staff. Looking for wine? This is a great place to visit!

Went in and did not find it so interesting although there was a gentleman offering advice and tour. We were in a hurry so really didn't have much time to spare anyway: it was like in and out in 5 minutes.....

The place is not big but there's enough information to entertain the visitor. The employees were very kind to spend some time to share their experience about the wine in Kelowna (ie. the good places to taste it such as Sandhill on Richter St).

My guess is they mean fruit wine museum. Mostly orchard related items in the museum. Too bad they no longer sell wine, but there's always Discovery Wines down the highway some.

We haven't been in town for a few months and came to buy wine in April. We were surprised to see that the wine sales operation has been closed (licence sold?) and all that remains is some history of fruit growing in the area and of course the gift shop. If you are coming to buy BC wines, better to... More

The staff here are very well versed on all the wines and most wines here are usually only available at the winery itself. If you want to try more BC wines but don't have the time to get to all the wineries, this place can help. We shop here often.
