Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

During covid I thought this was a safe place to bring my family. The cleaning in the building there has been none, the pools are way over then what the say they should be. They are not monitored, what so ever. When I came in to check in there was no enter or exit, people were not social distancing, I had such anxiety. My kids were also disgusted and couldn’t believe the lack of being taken care of in the building.

I revisited Harrison Hot Springs again after many years on a long weekend. Surprisingly, my family & I found it pretty boring while we're not picky at all. More seriously it lacked options for many things in its central location, i.e. south shore, including food, tourist attractions, entertainment, kids friendly places, etc. The public pool there is old & not attractive. We spent much less time there than budgeted, but glad to have come out early and rather spent our time elsewhere, like Bridal Falls, Othello Tunnels, etc.

Beautiful lake and mountains surround the lovely town of Harrison Hot Springs. Walk along the lake front, shop in the quaint stores, meander through the trails, swim in the lagoon or enjoy the water play park out on the lake. There is so much to do and see at Harrison. Don't forget the short walk to the Hot Springs themselves!

This is a great spot for a city break! Bring the family, friends, partner, and you'll find something to do!
The Lake has a shallow lagoon area for the kids to play. Harrison Watersports has a waterpark, bbq boat rentals, bumper boats, etc. Killers Cove Boat Rentals has kayaks, pedal boats, boats, etc. for rent.
You can spend hours here on a sunny day. Bring a mat, sunscreen, hat, etc. There is very little shade. Parking is $9 for a maximum of 3 hours. Signs are posted for social distancing and beach rules (no tents, specific bbq guidelines).
Lots of options for food and drink nearby with, restaurants, cafes, 1 supermarket, and liquor store a few blocks away. Public bathrooms, outdoor gym, public pool (currently close due to Covid19) is in the middle. The west side has the lagoon, rentals and waterpark The east side has the playground, volleyball nets, BBQ and picnic tables etc.
There is a nice walkway along the lakefront. There are several hotels on the lakefront.
We could see kite surfers, seadoos, paddle boards, etc., so lots of water sport options here.

My family looks forward all year to visiting Harrison Hotsprings Hotel. We visit every August for a few nights on our wedding anniversary. We choose one of the Towers as the rooms are newer and our stay is always pure luxury. The hotspring pools are refreshing and rejuvenating. It is a fun and relaxing atmosphere every time. After 11 years my kids expect to go there and they enjoy it more than any other location or major attraction in North America. The Summer of 2020 might be the first year we have to miss it for our own reasons. We look forward to more visits in the future.

Even though the access to the hot spring was limited because of COVID we did not feel as though we missed out on anything on our first trip to Harrison Lake. We walked the town several times and found the views extraordinary. People were friendly and provided some insights into must sees. Advise we certainly took. We were here for a long weekend and longer would have allowed us to do more things but this was a great chance to dip our toes into the area.

I suppose that some of the water in the hot springs actually comes from the hot springs, but it’s heavily chlorinated. And the ambiance is like a holiday inn pool. Heavy chlorine smell, can’t smell the sulfur you usually smell at a real hot springs, and everyone is holding a beer in the pool and playing loud music. If you are looking for a tranquil, meditative hot spring experience, this place ain’t it. And for a hot springs that really isn’t a real hot springs, it’s outrageously expensive for what you end up getting. The lake is beautiful, but the resort leaves a lot to be desired. Would NOT recommend.

Don't waste your precious holiday time visiting the town of Harrison Hot Springs
There is nothing here except an over-developed waterfront that looks like a Florida-beach-wannabe.
During prime time there is nowhere near enough parking. The parking-officer lurks constantly (even on quiet days) looking to hand out $100 tickets. I can understand a modest infraction fee to correct behaviour, but $100 is greedy and preys on the visitors they rely on.
Don't come hungry. A simple breakfast for two will cost over $50.
Don't bother with the tandem bike rentals. There is nothing to see outside the Esplanade area and you likely won't be able to navigate the bike through the bumper-to-bumper line ups that are looking for parking.
If you like nature, open spaces, beautiful vistas, and no traffic jams, just stay on highway7 that bypasses this-waste-of-time destination and go somewhere that will appreciate your patronage.
[hoping town officials read this and come to realize greed comes with repercussions , and if only 5 people now don't visit they cost local businesses 1000s of dollars.]

Warning. If you appreciate comfortable beds, this hotel is not recommended! Yes, I value a comfortable bed wherever I go, however, my husband can pretty much sleep any where at any time and even he was about ready to agree to packing up and driving home by midnight. I believe the mattress hit one of the top 3 worst mattresses I have ever experienced. Surprising, as their marketing had me believing that they were a higher quality hotel. Oh well. You live and learn by experience.

Cleanliness does not seem to be a priority at this hotel. During my first nights stay there was a large pile of dirty laundry left in the hallway outside of my room. There was noticeable food, crumbs, paper and dirt on the carpets in the hallways that was there throughout my stay. It is easy to see the accumulated dirt on the edge of the filthy hallway carpets. There is no daily room cleaning which you are not made aware of until it is too late to get your room serviced. The front desk staff are very curt, no smiles, no welcomes. The cleaning staff in the hallways just glower at you as you pass them. Not a very nice experience.

I want to know if the road condition getting there is not slippery for my SUV front wheel drive all weather tire vehicle. This is from Coquitlam to your resort?
Written 20 February 2019
I haven't travelled down to there recently but I live just down the road at Chilliwack and conditions of roads are fine. Tomorrow's snow (Friday) might lay a few more centimeters though - it should still be OK in your vehicle, with All Weather tires

Is there a public beach area where we can have a barbecue and hangout swimming?
Written 13 July 2018
I don't believe there's an 'on-the-beach' area where you can set up a BBQ -- but definitely NOT within the Resort's area - they have signs posts on the grounds along the beach.
At the opposite end of the beach, you may still find some tables located on the grounds near the beach, where you might be able to do such? Not sure ... what's happening there, is changing. And as well, there's no free parking anywhere.
Best place, from what I've seen, is the 'Day Park' across the road from the entrance to Sasquatch Provincial Park. It's just a short drive up/alongside the Lake from Harrison Village. There are a couple of nice beach areas within there, and several spots with tables for BBQ'ing, dining, and etc.
Good luck!

Can you get into the hot spring at the resort by using the Spa?
Written 28 January 2017
If you are referring to the Harrison Hot Springs Hotel and Resort, you are not able to use the hot spring pools there unless you are a guest or if you use this hotel's spa services with a minimum of $100.00. Then you have access to their five mineral pools. If you are referring to the public pool, the cost is reasonable - Under $10.00, if I recall correctly. We were not guests of the Harrison Hot Springs Hotel, so we booked spa services to gain access to the five mineral pools.

I was wondering what the cost was to use just the hot springs at the resort?
