Nice to see a variety of totems in a small area

Odd to see that many in a downtown, but it makes a nice walk around the main part of town in Duncan.

There is a nice walk way thru town which leads you to the many totems exhibited throughout town. Different ages, artistic ability/styles with excellent signage describing each totem, meanings, and artist. Do Not miss this free, easy, self tour.

The totem poles cover a variety of different groups and styles, there are informative plaques spread out through the park-like setting where they are sited, and you can enjoy the gift shop or a walk along the river as well as tour the totem poles....More

Have a wander around town spotting the totems.... follow the yellow footprints. They are nicely laid out & well maintained. A great free attraction and a nice way to spend an hour.

Spread throughout the city (and it's not a big place) these symbols of family and clan show the carving skills of a number of local artists.

We stumbled on this town and found the totem poles spread along a downtown street to be well done and interesting. They seem mostly to be done by contemporary BC artists, except possibly for one at the end of the street that is carved from...More

Although the totems are quite impressive, they are basically only there to give the town a reason for tourists to visit. One of the larger totems dates back as far as 2012! Yes a whole 5 years ago!

There are yellow footprints painted on the ground for people to follow, and detailed descriptions of each totem pole in front of each. I did not see a printed brochure of the route but we didn't feel it was needed. I hope... More
