This place is worth 5 stars because it is exactly what it claims to be, and does it all very well. A hokey, charming, fun casino with a live cabaret show to replicate what passed for entertainment in the Klondike days.

I have to say the show was great but the service from the staff was less than zero! We showed up early as we were told to do by the tour guide from the walking tour! It was pouring down rain today and it was miserable outside. We were with a tour group, and we dropped quite a bit of money for the show. After standing outside for about 45 minutes the guy comes outside and tells us we can't stand there, we need to move across the street to the Masonic Temple! Really? So we stood in the rain because they won't let us stand under the shelter on their porch. Are you serious? We stood in the rain for over an hour! What terrible, horrible hospitality from this establishment! Then once we were let in, we were told we could not enter because our group had not paid. Just terrible! This town is just trash, relies upon tourism, and treats their tourist like crap!!!! Never, ever again would I ever patronize this establishment!

Pretty much as everyone describes it :) We went to the second show and got a great table 30 minutes before show time - but it was definitely busy. An enjoyable show - certainly set in the time of the gold rush - and the singers and dancers were talented.
The drinks were inexpensive (and happy hour is from 11-midnight) - and the service good.
The $20 cover charge is an "annual pass", so return as often as you'd like.

Fun time with show, good food but, Big Als is a one man cook, four people ahead of me, took one hour to get to order food. Another 15 to cook and get it. Stand in line.

Diamond Tooth Gertie’s is a must-see for any trip to Dawson City. It is a gambling hall, so not suitable for children, but is a fun, hokey yet classy establishment offering drinks, betting games, slots and food at an independent “concession” stand.
Three showtimes are offered with different shows at each time slot. The shows reflect the “old days” of cancan or burlesque-ish shows, but done in good taste and without raunchiness.
Definitely worth the $20 season pass that must be purchased whether you are staying 1 day or all summer ☺️

Not to be missed! This was on my bucket list, and was not disappointed. If we weren't leaving the next day I would have gone again. Great LIVE ragtime piano, great can-can dancing, and Madame Gertie was a hoot! Great fun! Go there!

Place yourself in the 1800s for a night out at the local gambling and entertainment hall. Have a good meal that you would expect at this type of venue. All good fun

Tourist attraction, yes, but it's part of the charm of Dawson and a bit of it's history. The shows were actually pretty entertaining and there was some talented moments of music and comedy. Surprised at the food selection and it wasn't bad either. I was in Dawson for a while and it was a nice change for eats. Keep eyes open for free entry/drink specials (coupons etc) and avoid the casino if you don't gamble. Get there early for early shows...fills up quickly. Sit back and have some old time fun.

The drummer and piano player were very talented and it showed during the warm up to the show. The main singer (Diamond Tooth Gertie) was charming, beautiful and an awesome singer. The dancers were lively and engaged in each performance, regardless of how many were in the audience!! The songs and banter were from the '30s and were fun and a treat to watch. The drinks were good and added to the atmosphere of the hall. Gambling tables were around the outside of the entertainment area and had no negative effect on watching the shows. This is a must if you travel to Dawson --- you will not be sorry!!

I am confused to what this show is. Is it suitable for children ages 3, 5 & 9? How long is the show?

No, they would find it boring. Given the gambling I don't think they let anyone in under age 19
Can you purchase rtickets for the show at any time or should tickets be purchased thru the cruise lines excursion office

Hi Lee,
Our suggestion is to purchase tickets once you arrive in Dawson. In fact, what you're purchasing is a season's pass, so you can go in-and-out and watch the different shows at your leisure.
You can purchase your passes either at the Westmark or directly from Gerties. There is no assigned seating, but there is plenty of room to watch the show.
We're looking forward to seeing you here this summer!
