This is a VERY popular hike, so be prepared to encounter people....LOTS of people. The road to the trailhead varies with the seasons and there is one section of road that doesn't see any sunshine until June, so while the majority of the road may...More

I highly recommend this moderate hike as the view from the summit is worth every once of sweat to get to the top. No technical climbing required but certainly good and stable hiking shoes and plenty of hydration a must.

Mostly forest service roads so no real 4 wheel drive challenges. Found snow at the higher elevations so couldn't get to the trail head parking lot. Much more traffic thank I expected.

The only draw back to this hike is the water bars on the road in, I wonder why they feel they have to make them so deep. An hour and a half drive in to the trail head

The hardest part of this hike is the hour long drive up the service road. It is not very well marked and the drainage ditches are so deep that a truck/suv with 4 x 4 capabilities is an absolute must. After driving up the service...More
