A pleasant 4 km walk with a couple of outlooks over the lake. 110 stairs and some hills mean elevation changes of up to 880 feet and changing views of the lake throughout the walk. There is a play ground for children and some prepackaged...More

Kerry Wood Nature Centre is one of my favourite places! Beautiful walking trails, a great playground, clean washrooms, friendly and knowledgeable staff/volunteers. A great place to see birds, ducks, and maybe even a moose. Nice place for a picnic with the kids.

Beautiful interpretive centre and nature themed playground. Pathways are newly paved and there are many different ones to follow. Bird blinds are neat. Fun for kids and all ages. In the summer, watch out for large garter (mostly harmless) snakes by the pathways--was a bit...More

What a lovely place! So calm and peaceful.. Super-friendly staff lent us binoculars as we had forgotten ours and we spent several hours there just watching the wildlife. Walked there from downtown Red Deer along one of the many park trails. Recommended all round.

A fun place to spend 3-4 hours. The playground is very creative and amusing. The sanctuary is very peaceful. ThE inside isn't as interactive as it used to be. Many things not working.
