The best part of our Sunwapta tour was probably our guide, Spencer. He was hilarious, personable, brilliant on the water and made sure each of us felt safe and most importantly were having a great experience.
The rapids were huge (in my inexperienced opinion) the equipment in good condition, the guides were all knowledgeable and capable.

Thank you to Jeff W. and his team for a great morning! Our family really enjoyed our experience. Everyone was really friendly and the safety of the guests was obviously really important to the tour guide. We really recommend this company if you want to experience some rafting in Jasper! Merci beaucoup, you guys were great!

Certainly one of the best experiences we’ve had so far on our Canada vacation. From start to finish we felt welcome, safe and, most importantly, we had lots of fun!
The scenery is second to none, and the river rafting route was so beautiful. Mountains and rafting together, what’s not to love! Strongly recommend.
Biggest shout out goes to Josh who was our rafter. He captained the raft wonderfully, made it fun, gave us interesting facts about the surrounding country side and also made us laugh because he created a fun environment. Jordan who ran the trip was also tip top, making us feel welcome at the top and provided comprehensive safety guidance. Final compliment goes to Maxime in the office who made our day by helping us swap our session. Without her help and kindness we wouldn’t have experienced this memorable afternoon.

My husband and I did not go on 5 miles tour because I got sick (I got a fiver at the time and we've left the bus before it even took off).
We had an extensive white water rafting experience on Ottawa river, 9 days rafting on Colorado river in Grand Canyon, and some other places around North America. This tour probably would be good too. However, I gave only 2 stars because I would appreciate if the Jasper Rafting Adventure acknowledged that we did not go and maybe offer us some complementary discount (5-10%) for the rebooking for another day to make us fill as though they value and care about their costumers. But they did not do anything, just took our $188 and it's it! So, for that reason we will not come back and will do our next tour with another company.

I'm sorry to hear you did not feel well on the day you were supposed to raft. We do care about customers and we care about our staff too which is why we offer the cancellation policy we do. We believe this allows reasonable flexibility for guests and still allows for our fantastic staff to be paid when they are scheduled to work.

The trip was very well organized, especially in sorting out the kit & returning it at the end of the trip. Our guide, Jordan was great & very knowledgeable about the area. He made a lot of effort to ensure we hit the rapids to get full experience & get as wet as possible!
My only negative comment was the journey time from Jasper on an extremely hot bus, it took around 50 mins which we hadn't expected.

We had a great time rafting with Jasper Rafting Adventures! My favorite part of the experience was the great atmosphere that the rafting guides provided. They make the experience with their great knowledge and ability to entertain and excite the guests. Thanks Nate, Dylan, Leah, Felix and the other guides that made this experience possible!

This was a special trial program, and well worth it. The professional and personable attention paid by the driver (André) and the guide (Mike G) made this experience memorable and worth its weight in gold. The interp offered by both employees was in depth, culturally appropriate and down right hilarious! You could tell their love of the "job" came from a deep love and appreciation of the environment. I know this might be a small thing, but for me it's worth mentioning: while we were having lunch, the guide and the driver made sure the site was clean and secure at all times. Mike told us a personal story about a grizzly encounter he had had previously at that site - not food related, and as he told the story both he and Andre were looking around, tidying up, keeping the garbage together and putting the food out as was needed. I can tell you it was appreciated. Our little group consisted of 2 University students and one old woman (me). The students had never been to Jasper and I have lived here for over 30 years - that this trip enthralled all three of us, and made everyone feel well cared for is a testament to JRA ethics.

My husband and I, along with another couple had an amazing time on our rafting excursion!
Kate was our friendly and talented bus driver and Juan was our guide.
Juan was very knowledgeable and made sure that we had a great experience along with keeping us safe. I was a little leary booking the rafting as I tend to be a bit cautious, but was so glad that we did it! We had a blast and I felt quite safe.

We had so much fun on our first rafting trip (Mile 5) that we came back and did the other 2 (Athabasca Falls and Sunwapta) on subsequent days. The Mile 5 and Athabasca Falls trips were a nice combination of fun rapids and scenic floating time. The Sunwapta trip had more sustained and more intense rapids with just a little bit of float time. I was sitting in the front of the raft and frequently had 4/38 degree (C/F) water splashing over me, but it was awesome! If you don't want to get as wet, you can sit in the back of the raft. We had 3 different guides on the three trips -- Felix, Charles, and Jordan. All of them were knowledgeable about Jasper, friendly, and safety conscious. I will definitely raft again with Jasper Rafting Adventures when I return to Jasper.

We totally loved our ride and were impressed by how organized and safe the trip was. Ryland was our guide and he was entertaining, informative and very knowledgeable. This was our first time rafing and would definitely go again. Photos were available to purchase too and not overly expensive.

I would take comfy and warm clothes and a bathing suit/shorts for the tour itself. Extra socks and a jacket os always a good idea!
