Wow what an experience and if you are lucky enough to get Canadian Nick as your guide you will have a great time. Walking on the glacier and tasting glacier water was a real treat but I do wonder if walking on the glacier does...More

Stopped for photos on our way to Golden BC. Adequate parking and lots of information about the surrounding mountains. Great photos from the second level so no need to go to the glacier, in my opinion. Did not stay long. Place can get very busy...More

I stopped by here while touring the area. It offers an interpretive center, theater, gift shop, restaurants, free parking, and washrooms. It is also the place were you leave for the skywalk and glacier tours. It can get pretty busy depending on the day and...More

The Discovery center is located 64 mi south of Jasper. During your visit consider a combo ticket for both a Glacier Adventure & Glacier Skywalk. Both excellent experiences. Definately make a reservation because they often sell out! If you purchase at least 48 hrs in...More

Anyone in the area should take the Glacier tour. Our guide was excellent, very knowledgable about the glacier and the area. Don't skip the skywalk, it is an adventure with an adventure.

Absolutely breathtaking. Great drivers and hospitality. The skywalk view is great. Entire tour had a great pace, never felt rushed or bored. Australian Andrew was a great ice explorer driver. Totally worth it. 😀

This is the base station for the glacier and the lookout. You park here and then a bus will take you to the glacier and the glass-floored lookout. Both are worth the visit. The washrooms are clean. The food is mediocre and expensive.

The ice explorer was a very sturdy vehicle with thick tyres. The ride to the Athabasca glacier was scary and thrilling. At one point you drive down a very steep road and it feels like a roller-coaster! The walk on the glacier was a once...More

Use the washrooms but pack a lunch. I should have used my own advice. The food is way over priced for what you get. Our burgers were very very pink inside, but there were so many people it was useless to try and rectify the...More

That sounds great. Google says it’s a 4 hour drive but it will take longer because you will continually stop in awe! Perhaps take in the hot springs at Radium, right on 93. Coming along 93 toward the AB BC border ups... More

Forgot to mention: speed limits are lowered in the national parks, at times down to 70 kph where there is usually wildlife but normally 90 kph.
