Big area, animals free running.

Watch out for those free running animals ( not fierce). Winding thru the park on the road is a long trip, but can find lots of places to drop off at.

For our first visit we saw many bison herds - impressive! I later found out we were lucky to see so many as they are not always around. Since there were quite a few herds, we had no problems taking pictures and videos. This is a great sanctuary for animals and the views are spectacular. You can easily take pictures... More

Come on now, for a mere 20 dollars you get into one of the smaller national parks. It is fenced off to keep the bison in - the lakes are lovely and the walks very nice (just take insect repellent!). Lots of toilets - very well done - come on - - 20 dollars (and that is Canadian!) - bargain.

We didn't get to see any bison but we had a great time picnicking at the lake area and walking the trails. Great place to take the family for the day.

Love biking through the park from Cooking lake to Lamont and back. The views and the wildlife are wonderful to gaze at and if you're lucky you have Bison walking across your path. (Also pretty scary when you see them up close!)

I was surprise to discover this site close to Edmonton. It took us maybe 30 minutes to reach the park and then see thousand of bison. We do the ''trip'' driving the car. There is a lake where you can rent canoe and kayak, there is a camping, a lots of walking trail, toilet everywhere, a gift shop. We didn't... More

Best I can say about this it was a nice day. We travelled up from Edmonton for the day and drove through the park and hike around a couple of lakes. The s total of what we saw was one Bison and a small field mouse..not worth the effort in going there. We also left the park and drove around... More

This is a huge place and need a car to drive around. There are plenty of bisson and deer to see as you are driving along. This is a unique experience and would recommend it.
