Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The exterior of the new building got lots of negative reviews on social media, but thankfully the inside is much nicer! With bright open spaces, brand new technology, and eye-catching art, this new building is definitely worth a visit!

Every year I went to the Stanley Milner Library, for the last 3 years. It was closed every year.
This year I found that the library was being rebuilt. We could see how beautiful this library will be. I took several pictures.
I parked our car near the library. We tried to find the library, but there was no one to help.
When we found outside the garage, we found out that the library was closed.
I hope next year I willbe able to visit the library.
There are no roads nearby the library
I will wait until it is finished, and hopefully in 2020 it will be opened.
This is wortwhile to see!

Great place to learn, computers, books, and other mediums all available. quiet spaces and public spaces, I love how the libraries have moved passed the need to hush people. Library has become way more inclusive.

We hadn't researched when the library was set to open, but see that it still has a long way to go. But it looks like they are on track. If we're in Edmonton next year after it opens, we'll check out!

Construction on the renovations continue. The outside looks fantastic. I am certainly hoping the inside will not be a disappointment!

I am excited they are renovating the library but my biggest concern was not the dated scenery. It is very uncomfortable to be there due to the people that are hanging out there. I went in there once and I was super uncomfortable I watched drugs being sold and people doing drugs etc....I got out of there quick! my hope is that the new lbrary may have more security

The destruction and reconstruction of the main library seems to be taking a long time. Their temporary location is just 10 minutes walk away at 10212 Jasper Av NW, but it seems to be rather small. With so many residents living nearby, and all the students and even tourists who would ordinarily use a good library, there's nothing inviting for them. With all the vacant office space, it's a shame they couldn't get more space...

The library is currently (2017) under renovation. They have wonderful plans for expanded learning coming with the completion.

This location has temporarily been moved to Enterprise Square on Jasper Ave. That site is very small =, as other reviewers have mentioned. In the meantime check out EPL's fantastic digital resources or head over to the Strathcona branch!

Had the displeasure of calling the Stanley Milner branch of the system about 1100 this morning and spoke with a person named Devi? (Debi?. I was attempting to get some information about the TAL system and how it works, specifically on the feedback system after ordering a book thru TAL - and how, or if, the library is aware that the book is in fact coming, and when it will arrive.
She was very abrupt and not willing to do anything beside the bare minimum to assist me. After repeating the same information to me 4 times, and not answering my initial question, she told me there was only 2 people working in the Tal department, they were overloaded, that she did not work in that department, and here was there number. She made it very obvious that she was too busy to help me.
I must admit...I was rather impressed with the library having her answer the main phone without giving her a PR course. Perhaps she should be taken away from the phone, and put in the back to deal only with books.
