WEM'S Ice Palace is a great place for the whole fMily to hit the ice and enjoy a fun skate, or take in various events that rake place there throughout the year. everything from vehicle shows to musical guests to gymnastics/martial arts competitions, you can take in a little bit of everything here not just skating.

Entering the Ice Palace, I felt I was in a winter wonderland. Pathways, tunnels, rooms, chairs - all made of ice . . . ice characters lurking about . . .it was magical. Going down the ice slide with my cousin was especially fun! At dusk, the palace is illuminated . . . coloured lights amidst the beautiful ice formations,... More

My kids love watching the skaters when we are at the mall. And we take them skating here from time to time as well. The ice does get soft from the heat but it's warm in there from the skylight and something fun to do when Hawrelark Park isn't open for skating.

For recreational skating with family or friends, this place is fun. The ice quality isn't great (if you care about that) because of the warm temperature in the mall. Some hockey players I know have mentioned that it is too warm when wearing equipment, so they don't like the place. For most people, just remember not to bother with a... More

After spending a lot of time in the Mall I took my niece skating, the lady on the desk had to be prompted to get off her iPhone to just acknowledge us, she gave us the wrong size shoes twice, she gave us no instruction nor offered anything at all really, after she dumped the correct shoes on the counter... I used to figureskate competitively and loved compting and training out of this arena. I do not believe the competition is held there anymore. The complaints I have heard from other competitors was that because the sun shines through the glass roof the ice was soft and wet. This is true. Now if you aren't doing anyhong fancy it shouldn't... We had a great time! Really fun when it's hot outside to come in and put on a pair of skates and watch the kids have a ball! You can rent skates there or grab a snack and watch!

I used to figure skate here. I loved it, It is warm because of the skylight but that also makes the ice soft. Most figure skaters I knew hated it but I loved it. For visitors just wanting to skate recreationaly it shouldn't be a problem!
