Living in Old Strathcona was a highlight definitely. The stroll down Whyte Ave is very charming. The local farmer's market is a must as is having lunch or a drink on the patio. Lots of great unique stores, pubs, bars and restaurants. A must visit...More

Edmonton is not a very exciting city, but Old Strathcona has a very nice flair. Check out the Wild West Facade Houses on Whyte Ave, Farmer's Market on Saturdays and some of the side alleys for some real nice street art!

I lived in the Old Strathcona area for years and I would say it is one of my favourite places in Edmonton. It is especially enjoyable in the summertime! There are alot of buskers and public artists which I find phenomenal.

Great place for walkers who love to shop and eat/drink. Many different and unique shops to see in clothing and giftware. The fringe festival is close to here, also the local large famous Farmers Market with veggies, fruit, mini doughnuts, ice cream, locally made crafts....More

I love coming over to this area as there are interesting shops and like Europe a lot of places to eat outside in the summer. There is a huge market.
